World of Hyatt’s last Bonus Journeys promotion ended in April 2022, with no replacement offer for the busy summer travel period.
But we now have details about the latest Bonus Journeys, which is valid for stays between 15 September and 20 December 2022. Registration is already open, and can be done via the link below.

New World of Hyatt Bonus Journeys promotion
World of Hyatt’s latest Bonus Journeys promotion applies to stays from 15 September to 20 December 2022. Registered members will earn:
- 2X points on stays of at least two nights at all hotels worldwide
- 2x elite night credits for stays of any length at 65+ Inclusive Collection resorts (mostly in North and South America)
Do note the following:
- Any stays booked prior to registration will still qualify, provided you register prior to check-out of your first stay
- The maximum bonus is capped at 60,000 World of Hyatt points, or US$12,000 of spending
- Since this is a double points promotion (based on room rate) as opposed to a fixed bonus (independent of room rate), award stays will not earn any bonuses
This promotion is valid for stays at all Hyatt properties, participating MGM resorts, selected SLH locations, and Lindblad Expedition experiences.
How many points will you earn?
World of Hyatt members usually earn 5 base points per US$1, and will earn a further 5 bonus points per US$1 with this 2X promotion. The usual elite bonuses of 0.5 to 1.5 points per US$1 also apply.

I value World of Hyatt points at around 1.5 US cents each, so this promotion represents an incremental rebate of 7.5% of Hyatt stays, and a total rebate of 15% to 17.25%, depending on your tier.
It’s not the biggest promotion we’ve ever seen (there have been 3X promotions in 2021) but arguably better than the previous offer which awarded a fixed 2,022 points per two nights- though that one would have benefitted those on award stays.

As a reminder, World of Hyatt has now implemented peak and off-peak pricing, which results in standard rooms costing up to 5,000 points more per night.

Unlike Marriott Bonvoy, World of Hyatt peak, off-peak and standard nights are fixed as soon as nights are released for reservations. This means that if a given date is off-peak, it will remain off-peak no matter what (unlike Marriott, where off-peak dates could later become peak dates depending on demand).
Peak and off-peak dates will be based on the geographical market. For example, all properties in Bali will have the same peak and off-peak dates. While the majority of days will be set to standard redemption rates, there is no limit on the minimum or maximum nights a property can designate as peak/off-peak.

It’s just a shame the promotion period doesn’t overlap with the 1,000 bonus points per two night stay offer at selected Asia Pacific properties, which ends on 2 September 2022.
