HSBC Fortune Draw: Get S$300 cash with new HSBC credit card, plus S$18K prize pool

Expired

From now till 31 January, sign up for a HSBC credit card and get S$300 cash, plus the chance to win big prizes in the HSBC Fortune Lucky Draw.

If you’ve been waiting for an opportunity to apply for the excellent HSBC Revolution Card (as highly recommended in my 2023 Credit Card Strategy), or any other HSBC credit card for that matter, here’s a great chance to hop onboard.

For the month of January 2023, SingSaver is offering S$300 cash and other gifts for successful HSBC applicants. On top of this, there’s also a chance to win big prizes in the HSBC Fortune Lucky Draw including Nintendo Switch consoles, Dyson Airwraps, and Apple iPads.

How it works

This offer is only valid for new-to-bank applicants, defined as those who do not currently hold a principal HSBC credit card, and have not cancelled one in the past 12 months.

New-to-bank applicants for any of the following cards will be eligible for a guaranteed gift, as well as lucky draw chances.

Guaranteed gift

From 4-31 January 2023, customers who apply for eligible HSBC credit cards will receive one of the following gifts:

  • Ergotune Classic (worth S$399)
  • Sony Linkbuds WF-L900 + S$100 cash (worth S$369)
  • S$300 Cash via PayNow

They must clock a minimum spend of S$800 on either the physical or digital version of the card by the end of the following calendar month after card account opening date. For example, a card opened on 15 January 2023 will have a qualifying spending period up till 28 February 2023.

They must also provide consent to receive marketing and promotional materials from HSBC at the time of submitting their application, and have not revoked this consent at the time of gift fulfilment.

Lucky draw

In addition to the guaranteed gifts, applicants can earn lucky draw chances to their share of the following S$18,000 prize pool:

  • 1x PlayStation 5 Disc Version (worth S$799)
  • 1x Xiaomi TV P1E 65″ (worth S$1,299)
  • 3x Apple iPad 10.9″ (10th Generation) (worth S$679)
  • 5x Dyson Airwrap Gen 1 (worth S$849)
  • 20x Nintendo Switch (worth S$469)

Applying for an eligible HSBC credit card and clocking the S$800 minimum spend by the end of the following calendar month after card account opening date will earn 15X lucky draw chances per approved card.

An additional 5X chances will be awarded for every S$200 in qualifying spend on top of the S$800 minimum spend, which must be made by 31 March 2023. For example, a cardholder who spends S$1,000 would earn a total of 20X chances (15X for application and meeting S$800 minimum spend, 5X for further S$200 spend).

A further 5X chances can be earned by opening a HSBC Everyday Global Account by 14 February 2023, and a further 10X chances can be earned by opening a HSBC Investment Account and performing a minimum of one trade by 28 February 2023.

The maximum number of chances an individual can receive is capped at 80X.

Review

SingSaver has brought back its sign up offers for HSBC cards, with S$300 cash gifts and a shot at an S$18,000 prize pool on offer.

This would be a perfect opportunity to get the HSBC Revolution and start earning 4 mpd on a wide range of categories including travel, shopping, groceries, dining, and transport. There’s no annual fee, and you get a free Entertainer subscription on top of all that.

If you’re struggling to meet the S$800 minimum spend, don’t forget that even grocery vouchers will count, and you’ll earn 4 mpd on them too.
