Qualifying spend refers to any retail transaction, whether face to face or online, but excludes OCBC’s standard exclusions list:

- GrabPay top-ups
- Hospitals
- Insurance premiums
- Real estate agents
- Utilities bills
For the full list of exclusions, refer to the individual card T&Cs.

The T&Cs for the S$228 cashback offer can be found here.
Conclusion
New-to-bank OCBC cardholders can enjoy S$228 of cashback when they spend S$500 on their card within 30 days of approval. This is a great opportunity that has no cap (remember: OCBC’s “time out” period for new-to-bank is just six months, as opposed to 12 months for other banks), so I’d seriously consider this if I were you.
Do apply by 15 May 2023 to be eligible.
I called OCBC and was told that all contactless payments are excluded from qualifying spend to get the $228. This includes all paywave payment methods (mobile and physical card). Absurd.
Yeah that’s an error. Contactless is included, as per ocbc
But the T&C says it’s excluded. That was why I called to ask.
Yup I saw it. Checking with them again, they probably just copied pasted from the previous incorrect version
update: OCBC says it’s an error, they will update the T&Cs to remove that clause
Alright, thanks mate!
Hi, anyone received OCBC signup bonus $228 ? My card approved on Apr 2023 and I hit the min spend on Apr as well, but havenโt received until now.
The TnC states “Only 1 Eligible Card can be registered by the Eligible Cardmember for the Promotion”. As a new customer, I applied for 365 and titaniums using the links above and registered all 3 for the promo and March Madness. So which card spend will be counted for the $500 requirement?
I hope to get the $228 cash reward from 365 and 28,800 OCBC$ from titanium concurrently. Pls advise, thanks.
Am I able to get $228 if I spent $500 in iPaymy?
Hi, anyone received OCBC signup bonus $228 ? My card approved on Apr 2023 and I hit the min spend on Apr as well, but havenโt received until now.
I am having a dragged out battle with them trying to get the $228 signup bonus. They called and said it was “only meant for targeted customers”. I sent them their own terms and conditions and they are back to checking the case…
Iโm facing the same problem too. Signed up on 17 Apr and fulfilled all the criteria but the $228 cashback was not credited. OCBC CSO/ Product Manager claimed I didnโt click through the link. Someone else on Sethโs chat reported the same issue. Feels very shadyโฆ
no wonder, did CSO tell you which link you applied through?
I see, then I need to call CSO and figure out. Any updates from OCBC regarding your case? Thanks.
Same thing happened to me. I sent a secured mail and their response was that I didn’t click through from the promo campaign page. Such a convenient excuse how to dispute?
