HSBC WOW Weekend: Goodwood Park Hotel staycation deal

Expired

Book a Goodwood Park Hotel staycation in a Junior Suite from S$526 nett with the latest batch of WOW Weekend deals

HSBC has announced its latest set of WOW Weekend staycation deals, which run from 7-9 April 2023.

Bookings go live at midnight tonight (i.e. 12 a.m on Friday 7 April), and there’s only one hotel available this time: Goodwood Park Hotel. It’s a far cry from the laundry list of deals we saw during the pandemic, but if you’re in the market for a staycation, it’s still better than paying the current sky-high rates!

HSBC WOW Weekend Sale

All bookings must be made with a HSBC credit card, and I’d highly recommend using the HSBC Revolution to earn 4 mpd, capped at S$1,000 per calendar month.

If you don’t have a HSBC Revolution yet, you can enjoy the following gifts with a minimum spend of S$500 by the end of the month after approval.

HSBC x Goodwood Park Deal
Goodwood Park Review

The first 50 bookings will pay S$463++ (S$550 nett) or S$443++ (S$526 nett) for a weekday/weekend stay in a Junior Suite, with breakfast for two, S$120 dining credit (albeit with a restricted list of venues it can be used at), and 15% off F&B.

No, that’s not a typo- the weekend rate is really cheaper!

If you’re outside the first 50, the rate is a flat S$555++ (S$659 nett) for a weekday or weekend stay, with the same inclusions.

It speaks volumes about how hotel rates have recovered that the last time we saw a similar deal (in July 2022), the asking price was S$358++ (S$421 nett) for weekdays and S$398++ (S$468 nett) for weekends. Goodness me, that’s quite an increase.

Still, it’s better than paying the public rates, which are about S$100 more without factoring in the value of the dining credits and F&B discount. And if you plan to stay, you might be able to enjoy a further S$50 off a minimum spend of S$100 at Min Jiang, limited to the first 200 redemptions.

How to book

All bookings must be made via email at rmresv@goodwoodparkhotel.com. This, thankfully, saves you the hassle of having to stay up late to play fastest fingers first.

Simply compose an email and get it to auto-send at the stroke of midnight. Remember to quote HSBC WOW weekend and include your name, dates, number of guests, and contact information. Don’t send your card details over email! The hotel will get in touch with a secure form for you to input them.

Hotel review

Despite the Goodwood Park Hotel’s vintage, rooms in the Lobby Wing (where the Junior Suites reside) are refreshingly modern, having just completed a renovation in February 2021. I stayed in a renovated Deluxe Premier room in August 2021, and didn’t have any complaints about wear and tear.

Outside the rooms, however, you may find the place a little worse for wear. The pool and gym are decidedly dated and reminiscent of a mid 90s condominium, while the rest of the hotel can come off as “Raffles-lite”.

Another lean set of WOW Weekend deals this time round, perhaps unsurprising given that Singapore’s reopened borders have led to hotel rates hitting 10-year highs.

Still, if you’ve already set your sights on a Goodwood Park staycation, then this deal would be better than the publicly-available rates. Otherwise, that money might be put to better use for an overseas holiday!

Be sure to use the HSBC Revolution to get 4 mpd on your hotel stays, capped at S$1,000 per calendar month.
