Packages start from 130,000 miles, with limited redemptions available.

Singapore F1 Grand Prix 2022

I personally redeemed one of these last year, and it was an incredible experience. Even if you don’t care much for racing, there’s still plenty of food, drinks, and fantastic entertainment (too bad Westlife turned into a mud party).

What is KrisFlyer Experiences?

KrisFlyer Experiences is SIA’s experience platform, allowing members to redeem KrisFlyer miles for money-can’t-buy activities like F1 Sky Suites, a chartered Points Plane to Langkawi, and a KrisFlyer-themed cruise to nowhere.

KrisFlyer Experiences can be redeemed for the member or his/her friends and family.

KrisFlyer members can now redeem their miles for the following Singapore F1 packages:

Sky Suite: Qualifying  180,000 miles  Saturday, 16 Sep 23
Sky Suite: Race  300,000 miles  Sunday, 17 Sep 23

All experiences are non-refundable once redeemed, and members can redeem as many of each package as they wish, subject to availability.

Guests will enjoy a specially curated “world-class menu”, and free-flow champagne and drinks. Each evening also features a different line up of entertainment, namely:

  • Friday 15 September 2023: Jackson Wang, NIKI, Rich Brian
  • Saturday 16 September 2023: Post Malone, The Kooks, Kings of Leon
  • Sunday 17 September 2023: Robbie Williams, Kings of Leon, Groove Armada

For your reference, here’s what the menu in the KrisFlyer suite looked like at 2022’s event.

10% miles back for KrisFlyer UOB cardholders

KrisFlyer UOB Credit and Debit cardholders will enjoy a 10% rebate on the miles required, as follows. Each package is capped at six redemptions, so act fast.

Experience Cost Per Pax
Sky Suite: Practice  130,000 miles
13,000 miles rebate
Sky Suite: Qualifying  180,000 miles
18,000 miles rebate
Sky Suite: Race  300,000 miles
30,000 miles rebate

They must use the special booking link for KrisFlyer UOB cardholders (refer to the above table). The full amount of miles will be deducted initially, with the rebate credited by 31 December 2023.

You will not be able to take advantage of this option unless your KrisFlyer UOB Credit Card was linked to your KrisFlyer account before 30 June 2023.

The T&Cs of this offer can be found here.

Is it worth it?

While you can of course buy a Sky Suite with cash, all sessions are currently sold out.

Cash prices have increased by 15-20% compared to 2022’s race, and miles costs by 20-30% (except Race Day, which has remarkably remained the same). This means you get roughly 1.5-1.9 cpm of value, slightly better than last year.

If you’re on the fence, my personal advice is: go for it. I paid 300,000 miles for 2x tickets to the qualifying night, and it’s something I’m going to remember for a long time. The hospitality in the suite was amazing, with the ambassadors pulling out all the stops to ensure everyone had a good time. The champagne kept coming. The food never stopped.

And you weren’t just limited to the suite either; all guests could head up to the Sky Terrace, where restaurants like Alma, JAG, and Un-Yang-Kor-Dai had pop-up stands serving bite-sized portions of their greatest hits, all for free!

So you won’t be leaving hungry, or sober.

Totally agreed. I went on first night and the experience was awesome. Going ahead this year too.

Is the milelion n milecub (sorry mileCEO) going too this year ?

Balaji

went last year and was a disaster, while the rain was unexpected, it was just so damn crowded and so much of pushing and shoving around. Rather watch on TV

Jac

I went on the 2nd day, so the weather wasn’t too bad. Agree that it’s crowded but still fun.

Do we need an F1 ticket to redeem the Sky Suite experience?
