Marriott Bonvoy has launched a new promotion for hotel dining in Singapore, which offers members double points plus the chance to win one of five Maldives getaways.
There’s no need to be an in-house guest to enjoy this offer; in fact, you won’t be eligible if you charge F&B to your room (so pay at the restaurant, if you’re planning any staycations!).

From 17 August to 15 September 2023, Marriott Bonvoy members will earn 20 points per US$1 spent on dining at qualifying restaurants in Singapore, instead of the usual 10 points per US$1.
A minimum spend of US$10 is required to earn points, and the earn rate is the same regardless of your elite tier. 1 Bonvoy point is worth about 0.7 US cents, so 20 points per US$1 works out to a rebate of 14%.

Win a 4D3N Maldives resort stay
In addition to double points, Marriott Bonvoy members will also earn lucky draw chances for each transaction (of at least US$10) made at a participating restaurant during the promotion period.
A total of five prizes are up for grabs, all for resorts in the Maldives:
- 1x 4D3N stay for 2 guests (including breakfast) at Le Meridien Maldives Resort & Spa
- 1x 4D3N stay for 2 guests (including breakfast) at The Westin Maldives Miriandhoo Resort & Spa
- 1x 4D3N stay for 2 guests (including breakfast) at The St. Regis Maldives Vommuli Resort
- 1x 4D3N stay for 2 guests (including breakfast) at the W Maldives
- 1x 4D3N stay for 2 guests (including breakfast) at Sheraton Maldives Full Moon Resort & Spa
The winners will be drawn on 5 October 2023 and contacted by email.
For avoidance of doubt, you only earn one chance per transaction, so a US$100 bill will receive the same number of chances as a US$10 bill.
Stacking with AMEX benefits
You’re eligible to earn Marriott Bonvoy points on dining regardless of how you pay for your meal, which means an opportunity to stack further AMEX benefits.
Back in April, American Express launched a series of AMEX Offers for use at Marriott, Hyatt, IHG, Millennium Hotels and Pan Pacific, valid for use till 30 September 2023.

The Marriott Bonvoy offer gives S$80 back with S$400 spent in one or more transactions, so that’s a chance to save up to 20% off your dining bill (participating restaurants can be found here) while still earning double points and a lucky draw chance.
Unfortunately, Marriott Corporate has confirmed with me that points cannot be earned in conjunction with AMEX Love Dining benefits.
Conclusion
From now till 15 September 2023, Marriott Bonvoy members can earn double points on Singapore hotel dining, plus a chance to win one of five Maldives getaways.
While it’s sad that Marriott no longer offers a dining discount to members (unlike Hilton and IHG), this at least provides some incentive to visit the restaurants.

Correct, Iโve experienced the same earlier this year โ no points if I use Love Dining. But nothing is stopping us from asking for two bills: one for food with Love Dining benefits, and a separate bill for drinks that I credit to my Bonvoy account.
