Kris+ BFCM promo: Earn 2-3X miles with Challenger, Harvey Norman, iStudio, KrisShop and more

Kris+ has announced the details of its upcoming Black Friday Cyber Monday (BFCM) promotion, which runs from 24-27 November 2023.

During this period, Kris+ users can earn 3 mpd at Audio House, Challenger, Harvey Norman, iStudio, Parisilk, and KrisShop.

This is stackable with a further 3-6 mpd with the right credit card, and could be particularly lucrative if you’re planning to buy the latest iPhone or some other pricey electronic gizmo.

From 24-27 November 2023, Kris+ members will earn 2-3X the usual miles at the following merchants.

The offer will automatically appear in the Kris+ app, with no registration necessary. There is no minimum spend required, and no cap on the maximum miles that can be earned.

While I’m glad to see this offer, I’d also like to point out that these upsized rates were in fact the regular earn rates prior to 1 May 2023, when Kris+ carried out a round of nerfs.

Don’t forget to transfer any KrisPay miles you earn to KrisFlyer within 7 days of the transaction, in their entirety. A big “Transfer to KrisFlyer” button will appear after every transaction. 

If you wait longer than seven days, or spend any portion of the KrisPay miles earned, the remaining balance will be stuck in Kris+, where they can only be spent at 0.67 cents apiece with a six-month expiry.

What card should you use with Kris+?

Audio House, Challenger, Harvey Norman, iStudio and Parisilk will code as MCC 5732 Electronics Sales, while KrisShop will code as MCC 5309 Duty Free Stores.

Conclusion

From 24-27 November 2023, the Kris+ BFCM sale is offering an extra 3 mpd on a wide range of electronics merchants plus KrisShop, the perfect opportunity to pick up an iPhone 15. By pairing Kris+ with the right credit card, you can earn up to 6 mpd extra, yielding a total earn rate of up to 9 mpd. 

It’s just a shame that the OCBC Titanium Rewards has converted its 4 mpd cap from S$13,335 per year to S$1,110 per month, so those with big ticket items in mind will need to switch to the UOB Lady’s Solitaire Card (cap S$3,000 per month) or KrisFlyer UOB Credit Card (no cap) to maximise their miles.
