American Express has launched a new campaign called Go with AMEX, which offers registered cardholders up to S$790 in statement credits with Four Seasons, Hilton, IHG, Marriott, Millennium Hotels, Pan Pacific, and Wyndham.
These limited-quantity credits are now open for registration via the AMEX Offers portal, and can be used for spending from till August to November 2024, depending on hotel.
โ What are AMEX Offers? |
AMEX Offers are opportunities to earn bonus miles or Membership Rewards points, or discounts in the form of statement credits. These are available to Platinum, True Cashback, and KrisFlyer cardholders, and can be found in the โOffersโ section of the AMEX app or web portal. Registration is required, and some offers may be targeted. These are not applicable to DBS, Citi or UOB AMEX cardholders. |

Do note that unlike past hotel credit campaigns, where it was possible to register for offers on multiple cards, AMEX has changed its algorithm so only your highest spending card gets targeted this time round. In my case, that’s the AMEX HighFlyer Card, but it could be different for you.
If you don’t see the full list of credits on your app, try visiting go.amex/gwa and logging in to your online account. You should then be able to register for the missing credits.
Transactions must be charged to the registered card by the expiry date to qualify for the offer; any transactions charged after this date will not be eligible, even if your stay took place within the promotional period.
A few points to note:
Multiple transactions are OK
There is no need to clock the entire spend in a single transaction.
For example, the Pan Pacific Hotels Group offer requires a cumulative spend of S$400 to trigger a S$80 credit. You could do this in three separate transactions of S$220, S$100 and S$80. In fact, the transactions need not even be at the same property; you could combine spending across different participating properties within Pan Pacific Hotels Group.
In-person vs online
Offers for Pan Pacific Hotels Group and Millennium Hotels & Resorts can be used online or in-person.
For all the other offers, payments must be made in-person at the front desk or participating outlet.
If payments must be made in-person, any rates which are prepaid online will not qualify for the offer (provided payment is actually taken online; I’ve stayed on “prepaid” rates that weren’t charged until I arrived at the front desk).
That’s a problem, since prepaid rates tend to be the cheapest, but fortunately there’s a workaround, assuming the hotel is in Singapore. Look for the rate you wish to book on the website, then email the hotel and ask them to hold it for you. You can then head down to the hotel to swipe your card and make payment in advance of your actual stay. This wouldn’t work for overseas hotels, obviously, but it might be worth contacting them to see if something can be worked out.
Crediting timelines
Credits should appear on your billing statement within 15 days from qualifying spend, but may take up to 90 days from the offer end date.

Stacking AMEX Offers
AMEX Offers and credits can be stacked, which is great news for those who previously registered for the Conrad Singapore Orchard offer (spend S$350, get S$105 back).
For example, you could visit Basilico at Conrad Singapore Orchard and enjoy:
- 25% off the bill (Hilton Gold or Diamond members)
- S$105 off a min. spend of S$350 (Conrad SG offer)
- S$60 off a min. spend of S$300 (Hilton Go with AMEX offer)
- Up to S$200 of local dining credits (AMEX Platinum Charge cardholders)
That’s a mighty stack indeed, and remember, all that matters is the nett spend charged to your card. For example, if the final charge to your card (after all taxes, service charge and discounts) is S$380, both the Conrad SG offer and Hilton Go with AMEX offers will be triggered.
I’m sure there’s other opportunities out there too, so get creative!
Stacking offers with luxury privileges rates
Download HoteLux app |
To get more value out of these offers, consider booking luxury privileges rates offered by platforms such as HoteLux.
Luxury privileges rates price the same as the hotel’s best flexible rate, and include free breakfast, US$100 hotel credits, room upgrades and early check-in/late check-out where available. These are fully refundable and charged by the hotel at the time of check-out, so there won’t be any issues triggering the credit.
World and World Elite members can enjoy a complimentary HoteLux Elite membership, valid for 3 and 12 months respectively.
Conclusion
American Express has launched a new set of hotel offers that gives up to S$790 in statement credits across seven different hotel chains.
Registration is required, and limited, so be sure to visit the AMEX app and select the offers you’re interested in ASAP.
Not sure who’s brilliant idea inside Amex to make it only for highest spend card. I just got approved for Plat and this offer cannot be redeemed for it.. and only on my older Amex. I called them and they couldnt do anything about it. So much for a “great start”
same
Should the min spend at Basilico to stack the offers be $350 instead of $380?
Am wondering the same too. Believe as long as it is $350 nett of the relevant Hilton discount, service charge and GST will suffice
Where to check the T&C stating combine spending across different participating properties within Pan Pacific Hotels Group. Does Millennium also allow combine across different participating properties.
Call to AMEX hotline to check on Millennium. They mention can make more than 1 transaction to hit $300.
