Wedding banquets can be significant outlays for many couples, easily reaching the mid to high five digits. But it’s also a great opportunity to rack up miles for your honeymoon, all the more if those costs are reimbursed in part or in full by angbaos!
While Kris+ already has partnerships with numerous hotel restaurants, these don’t extend to banquet payments- until now. Both Andaz Singapore and PARKROYAL COLLECTION Pickering have added wedding packages on Kris+, offering an extra 9 mpd on deposit payments.

Get S$5 (in the form of 750 KrisPay miles) when you sign-up with code W644363 and make your first transaction |
This can be stacked with an extra 4 mpd from credit cards, or even more if you utilise the UOB Lady’s Savings Account just right.
Kris+ offering 9 mpd on wedding banquets
Kris+ users can now earn 9 mpd from Kris+ for wedding banquet payments at the following hotels.
Andaz Singapore | PARKROYAL Pickering | |
Earn Rate | 9 mpd | 9 mpd |
Customer Cap | First 50 bookings | N/A |
Payment by | 30 Sep 2024 | 31 Dec 2024 |
Payment Cap | S$30,000 | S$20,000 |
Wedding by | 31 Dec 2025 | Not stated |
Andaz Singapore
Here’s what we know about the Andaz Singapore wedding banquet offer:
- Valid for the first 50 weddings signed by 31 July 2024
- Maximum payment via Kris+ is limited to S$30,000 nett per package, and for F&B spend only
- A maximum of S$20,000 nett can be paid via Kris+ each day
- Payment must be made by 30 September 2024
- Wedding must be held by 31 December 2025
- Payments via Kris+ will not be eligible for World of Hyatt Honeymoon Bonus points
Andaz Singapore allows you to split your payment into up to three transactions. This is an important clause, because it means you will be limited in terms of the maximum number of cards you can use. A wedding banquet deposit is almost certainly going to bust the bonus caps on specialised spending cards, so you should go with two capped cards and one uncapped card (see below for card recommendations).
Interested parties should contact the Andaz Singapore wedding team at GetMarried.sg@andaz.com
PARKROYAL COLLECTION Pickering
Here’s what we know about the PARKROYAL COLLECTION Pickering wedding banquet offer:
- Maximum payment via Kris+ is limited to S$20,000 nett per package, and for F&B spend only
Unfortunately, PARKROYAL doesn’t provide any additional details beyond this, so you’ll need to get in touch with their team for more information.
What card to use?
Given that this is a big ticket purchase, you definitely want to make sure you’ve got the MCC right. Fortunately, there’s three easy ways of looking it up before making a purchase:
Method | Ease of Use | Reliability |
โHeyMax | โโโ | โ |
๐ฑ Instarem app | โโ | โโ |
๐ค DBS digibot | โ |
โโโ |
I would personally recommend the Instarem or DBS digibot method here, because of the high stakes involved.
Assuming that the hotel banquet payment codes under the hotel range (MCC 3500-3999 or MCC 7011), then you can use the following cards to earn up to 4 mpd extra via Kris+.
Card | Earn Rate | Remarks |
UOB Lady’s Card Apply |
4 mpd Capped |
Max S$1K per c. month. Must choose Travel as bonus category Review |
UOB Lady’s Solitaire Apply |
4 mpd Capped |
Max S$2K per c. month. Must choose Travel as bonus category Review |
DBS WWMC Apply |
4 mpd Capped |
Max S$1.5K per c. month Review |
HSBC Revolution Apply |
4 mpd* Capped |
Max S$1K per c. month Review |
KrisFlyer UOB Credit Card Apply |
3 mpd Uncapped |
Review |
*Use caution! Excludes MCC 7011 from 1 January 2024 |
In an ideal scenario, you would want to split the payment over as many cards as possible, maxing out the bonus caps for each. But if that’s not possible (e.g. for Andaz Singapore), then your best course of action would be to use:
- UOB Lady’s Solitaire Card for 4 mpd (or more- see below) on S$2,000
- DBS Woman’s World Card for 4 mpd S$1,500
- KrisFlyer UOB Credit Card for an uncapped 3 mpd on the rest
Try and see if your wedding coordinator is agreeable to spreading out the payments over a certain period, e.g. you could make one tranche of payment towards the end of the month, and another at the start of the following month in order to allow your bonus caps to reset.
Extra 2-6 mpd with UOB Lady’s Savings account
Here’s a little tip for UOB Lady’s Cardholders.
As I’ve written about numerous times, yon can earn an extra 2-6 mpd on your bonus categories by opening a UOB Lady’s Savings account and making a minimum deposit.
Monthly Average Balance | UNI$ from Lady’s Savings Account | UNI$ from Lady’s or Lady’s Solitaire Card | Total |
<S$10K | N/A | 10X UNI$ (4 mpd) |
10X UNI$ (4 mpd) |
S$10,000 to S$49,999 | 5X UNI$ (2 mpd) |
15X UNI$ (6 mpd) |
|
S$50,000 to S$99,999 | 10X UNI$ (4 mpd) |
20X UNI$ (8 mpd) |
|
S$100K and more | 15X UNI$ (6 mpd) |
25X UNI$ (10 mpd) |
Now, under regular circumstances, a S$10,000 deposit is the sweet spot. The opportunity cost of a S$50,000 or S$100,000 deposit would simply be too high.
However, there’s a first-month-only opportunity to earn extra miles without the lost interest, assuming you have spare capital.
In short:
- During the month, make your hotel banquet payment with your UOB Lady’s Card via Kris+
- Open a UOB Lady’s Savings Account on the last working day of the month, before 10.30 p.m, and fund it with S$50,000 or S$100,000 as your means dictate
- On the first day of the following month, you can withdraw your funds and place them elsewhere as you wish
You’ll earn an extra 4 mpd (MAB: S$50,000) or 6 mpd (MAB: S$100,000) on your banquet payment, and in a best case scenario where you charge S$2,000 to your UOB Lady’s Solitaire Card, that’s 20,000 miles in total.
It is important that you do not wait until the very end of the month to charge your card. UOB uses the posting date of transactions to award bonus points, and if your transaction posts in the following month, your bonus will be based on the MAB in the following month (i.e. you’ll need to keep that S$50,000 or S$100,000 in the account a lot longer, incurring more opportunity cost).
I strongly recommend you read the following article to understand how UOB computes the MAB for each month, as it contains further details I’ve not mentioned here for brevity’s sake.
Act fast: UOB Lady’s Savings Account open to men, ahead of schedule
Conclusion
Kris+ users with upcoming nuptials can earn an extra 9 mpd if they book wedding packages at Andaz Singapore or PARKROYAL COLLECTION Pickering, on top of the usual 4 mpd (or more!) from their credit cards.
That should be reason enough to nudge you towards these hotels, assuming you’re fine with their venues and F&B.
A S$30,000 payment at the Andaz Singapore would net you 270,000 miles, before even taking into account miles from your credit card. That’s just shy of a pair of round-trip Business Class tickets to Australia or New Zealand- not a bad way to start married life.

Also, isn’t this card a merchant whitelist card, not awarding bonus by travel MCC?
