FairPrice Finest and FairPrice Xtra have been Kris+ partners for some time now, but the partnership has been limited to “burn only”. This meant KrisFlyer members could redeem miles for FairPrice Group Gift vouchers โ at a poor rate, I should add โ but they could not earn miles on grocery purchases, whether in-store or online.
S$5 for new Kris+ Users |
Get S$5 (in the form of 750 KrisPay miles) when you sign-up with code W644363 and make your first transaction |
That’s now changed, as Kris+ is finally offering a way to earn an extra 1 mpd on FairPrice Online, stackable with credit card miles for an overall earn rate of up to 5 mpd.
But before you rush to buy some, keep in mind there’s an alternative way of earning up to 7.5 mpd!
FairPrice Online vouchers now available on Kris+
The Kris+ app is now selling FairPrice Online vouchers in S$60 and S$80 denominations, with an earn rate of 1 mpd.
There is no limit to the number of vouchers you can purchase. Each purchase will generate a promo code that can be used towards a FairPrice Online order, but do note that there is a limit of one promo code per order. If you want to buy multiple vouchers, you’ll also need to split your order into multiple batches.
Vouchers are valid till 13 November 2025, and can only be used on FairPrice online or the FairPrice Mobile app, for home delivery only.
Promo codes cannot be used for certain restricted products like Stage 1 infant milk powder or cigarettes. However, they can be used for alcohol, and Just Wine Club discounts still apply to the online store.
You can also redeem miles for S$5, S$10 and S$20 FairPrice Group gift vouchers, which can be used for in-store purchases, but keep in mind the rates are extremely poor at just 0.67 cents per mile.
What card should you use?
Purchases of FairPrice Online vouchers via the Kris+ app code as MCC 5411 Grocery Stores and Supermarkets, and you can use the following cards to earn up to 4 mpd extra.

There’s a better way of doing it!
While 5 mpd on FairPrice Online vouchers is a good return, there’s an even better way to generate miles- provided you have an OCBC Rewards Card.
From now till 31 December 2024, the OCBC Rewards Card is offering 6 mpd on department store transactions, capped at S$1,000 per calendar month.
What does FairPrice Online have to do with department stores? OCBC defines department stores as MCC 5311, which is the same MCC as HeyMax voucher purchases. You can buy FairPrice Online vouchers through HeyMax, earning an easy 6 mpd without the need for Kris+!
๐ 700 Max Miles joining bonus |
Sign up for a HeyMax account and get up to 700 Max Miles as a welcome bonus after adding a card, purchasing a voucher and viewing the redemption page |
700 bonus Max Miles |
Even better, HeyMax offers a bonus 1.5 Max Miles per S$1 on FairPrice Online vouchers, and Max Miles can be converted to 27 airline and hotel partners at a 1:1 ratio.
Conclusion
Kris+ is now selling FairPrice Online vouchers with a bonus 1 mpd, stackable with credit card miles for up to 5 mpd total.
However, if you have an OCBC Rewards Card, you can take advantage of the ongoing promotion for department store spend to buy vouchers from HeyMax instead at 6 mpd, plus a further 1.5 mpd from HeyMax itself. That would be my preferred plan of attack, only switching to Kris+ after the caps are exhausted.
Will using the UOB Pref Platinum card via Kris+ still trigger the 4mpd earn rate?
MCC dependent. refer to t&Cs.
