Since August 2023, Pelago has been offering a discount for Singapore Airlines customers, allowing them to save on tours, attraction tickets, eSIMs, spa treatments, airport transfers, bus tickets, and thousands of other activities.
While the discount was also extended to those travelling on mixed Singapore Airlines and Scoot itineraries, those on pure Scoot tickets were left out in the cold.
But that’s now changed, with Scoot customers able to enjoy a 20% discount on Pelago bookings from now till the end of 2025.
Pelago offering 20% discount for Scoot passengers
Details |
From 1 December 2024 to 31 December 2025, Scoot customers with a valid PNR will enjoy a 20% discount on Pelago bookings, subject to the following conditions:
- The maximum discount is capped at S$15, or its currency equivalent
- Each PNR can be used a maximum of once, regardless of how many passengers are on the itinerary
- The discount is only valid for Pelago activities in the destination and layover countries featured in the PNR
To use this offer, enter your 6-character PNR and last name under the Airline promo tab during checkout.
The discount can be used from the date of issuance up till the date of the last segment of the booking. For example, if the last flight in your PNR is 20 November 2025, you must use the discount by 20 November 2025 (the activity can take place after this date though).
Pelago, surprisingly, does not have a basket function on its website. This means you can only check out a single activity at a time (though that activity could be for multiple people). If you want to book multiple activities, you might consider booking each passenger separately, so they each have their own PNR.
All Pelago activities are eligible for the discount, excluding the products found on this list.
How does this compare to the Singapore Airlines offer?
Singapore Airlines customers were the first to enjoy discounts with Pelago back in August 2023, when a 30% discount capped at S$35 was launched. That has since been nerfed to a 10% discount, and here’s how it measures up to the Scoot offer.
Scoot | Singapore Airlines
Discount | 20% | 10% |
Capped At | S$15 | S$50 |
Discount Maxes Out At | S$75 | S$500 |
Usage | 1 redemption per PNR | 3 redemptions per PNR |
For the avoidance of doubt, you will only receive a single PNR even if your itinerary has both Singapore Airlines and Scoot flights. The terms of your discount depend on which airline issues your ticket; in the case of mixed Singapore Airlines and Scoot itineraries, the issuer will be Singapore Airlines.
What card to use with Pelago?
Pelago transactions code as MCC 4722: Travel Agencies and Tour Operators, which means you can pay with the following cards to earn an additional 4 mpd.
Card | Earn Rate | Remarks |
UOB Lady’s Solitaire Apply |
4 mpd | Max S$2K per calendar month. Must choose Travel as bonus category Review |
UOB Lady’s Card Apply |
4 mpd | Max S$1K per calendar month. Must choose Travel as bonus category Review |
DBS Woman’s World Card Apply |
4 mpd | Max S$1.5K per calendar month Review |
KrisFlyer UOB Card Apply |
3 mpd | No cap. Must book via Kris+ Review |
Avoid using the Citi Rewards Card, as MCC 4722 is classified as a travel transaction and explicitly excluded from earning the bonus 4 mpd rate for online transactions. Also, the HSBC Revolution Card is no longer an option, following the January 2024 removal of MCC 4722 from its bonus whitelist.
Earning and redeeming KrisFlyer miles on Pelago
Earning KrisFlyer miles
Pelago bookings can now be made through Kris+, and all bookings made by 31 December 2024 will earn an uncapped 9 mpd, on top of credit card miles. Miles are also credited instantly (though they’ll obviously be clawed back if you subsequently cancel your booking).
Booking through Kris+ is much better than booking directly through the Pelago website, where the earn rate is 3 mpd with a cap of 5,000 miles per booking, and miles are only credited one week after completing the booked activity.
However, the catch is that you cannot use any airline discount codes if you book via Kris+. Therefore, you need to choose between 9 mpd via Kris+, or a 10% (Singapore Airlines) or 20% (Scoot) discount with 3 mpd via the Pelago website.
KrisFlyer miles will be awarded on the final amount paid for Pelago bookings (including taxes), after eligible discounts have been applied.

Redeeming KrisFlyer miles
KrisFlyer members can normally redeem miles on Pelago at a rate of 150 miles= S$1, but this has been temporarily enhanced to 120 miles = S$1.
Even so, this values 1 mile at just 0.83 cents, well below what you should be accepting.
โ Options for Spending KrisFlyer Miles
Redemption Option | Value per mile
โ๏ธ | Award flights | Up to 5 cents |
โ๏ธ | Cash + Miles | 0.95 cents |
๐ก | Pelago | |
๐ | KrisFlyer vRooms | โฅ0.8 cents |
๐๏ธ | KrisShop | 0.8 cents |
๐จ | Shangri-La Circle conversion | 0.74 cents |
๐ฌ | CapitaStar conversion | 0.7 cents |
๐ฑ | Kris+ | 0.67 cents |
๐ | LinkPoints conversion | 0.59 cents |
๐จ | Marriott Bonvoy conversion | 0.5 cents |
โฝ | Esso Smiles conversion | 0.47 to 0.67 cents |
Keep in mind that Pelago takes an all or nothing approach to redemption. You must pay the entire amount with KrisFlyer miles; there’s no option to mix cash and miles! This means that you couldn’t even use Pelago to selectively burn a small number of miles that are due to expire.
A few other things to note:
- Pelago bookings redeemed with KrisFlyer miles must be made under your name, or the name of one of your redemption nominees
- Pelago bookings redeemed with KrisFlyer miles can be cancelled, subject to the activity’s T&Cs. If so, miles will be refunded within two weeks. They’ll still have their original expiry date tagged to them, so you won’t be able to use this as a roundabout way of extending miles.
Conclusion
Pelago is now offering a 20% discount for Scoot passengers, which is twice the discount that Singapore Airlines passengers enjoy. On the flip side, however, the savings are capped at S$15, versus S$50 for Singapore Airlines.
Those booking lower-priced activities would find the Scoot code more useful (since it maxes out at S$75), while those booking higher-priced activities would prefer the Singapore Airlines code (since it maxes out at S$500).
Do remember that you cannot stack Singapore Airlines or Scoot discounts with Kris+, ShopBack or HeyMax, so you’ll need to do the sums and figure out which offer gets you the best value.
To the extent that Pelago is pricing the same as Klook, KKday or other competitors, you might as well take the discount. Don’t forget that Pelago is now the only activities platform that offers KrisFlyer miles on top of the regular credit card miles, so that’s an extra sweetener to consider too.
