Cathay Pacific Anniversary Miles Rewards: Earn an easy 4,380 bonus Asia Miles

From now till 31 May 2026, earn up to 4,380 Asia Miles by completing six simple missions- some of which are as easy as transferring credit card points.

Cathay Pacific has launched a new campaign to mark its 80th anniversary, which offers members up to 4,380 bonus Asia Miles for completing six simple missions by 31 May 2026.

This is very similar to the Rewards in the Air campaign we saw back in December 2025, and while the total bonus is slightly smaller, the missions remain extremely straightforward. You could complete most of the tasks from home, and some are as easy as transferring credit card points.

Cathay Pacific Anniversary Miles Rewards

Details

From 15 April to 31 May 2026, Cathay members can earn up to 4,380 bonus Asia Miles through the Cathay Anniversary Miles Rewards campaign.

Registration is required, and can be done via this link.

According to the T&Cs, this offer is available to all Cathay members who reside outside of Hong Kong and have directly received the offer issued by Cathay Pacific. That said, during the previous Rewards in the Air campaign, I didn’t receive any email invitation but was still able to register and receive the bonus.

There are a total of six missions to complete. You can complete them in any order, and as many or as few as you wish. For example, I could complete Missions 5 and 6 to get 1,280 bonus Asia Miles.

Mission Requirement Bonus Miles
1 Complete one miles transaction 300
2 Complete miles transactions in two or more categories 1,000
3 Earn at least 8,000 Asia Miles from payment partners 800
4 Earn at least 8,000 Asia Miles from travel and lifestyle partners 1,000
5 Redeem at least 8,000 Asia Miles 1,200
6 Find the hidden “80” treasure in the Asia Miles by Cathay app 80
Total 4,380

Mission 1 (300 miles)

To complete Mission 1, simply complete one eligible miles-earning or miles redemption transaction. In other words, earn or redeem at least one mile.

There are many ways of doing this, and completing the other missions would already satisfy the criteria for Mission 1 (except Mission 6, since those miles will only be credited after the promotion period ends).

Mission 2 (1,000 miles)

To complete Mission 2, you need to complete an eligible miles-earning or miles redemption transaction (of any amount) across two or more categories.

Categories can be found on this page.

Category Examples
(non-exhaustive)
Flights
  • Flights on Cathay Pacific or one of its partner airlines
Holidays
  • Car rentals
  • Esso
  • HeyMax
  • Hotel stays
  • OTAs
Shopping
  • Airalo
  • Cathay Shop
Wellness
  • Healthcare
  • Insurance
  • Pure Gym & Yoga
Dining
  • Card-linked payments at restaurants within Fullerton and Fullerton Bay Hotel
Payment
  • Converting credit card points

Interestingly enough, HeyMax is listed under the Holidays category (instead of payments), so you could satisfy Mission 2 by transferring points from HeyMax (Holidays), as well as your credit card (Payment).

Mission 3 (800 miles)

To complete Mission 3, you need to earn at least 8,000 Asia Miles from payment partners specifically. This can be done across one or multiple transactions; all that matters is the cumulative accruals across the promotion period.

The easiest way to do this would be to transfer 8,000 Asia Miles from your credit card points. In fact, you can basically see this as a 10% transfer bonus, since you’ll receive 8,800 Asia Miles in total, though that assumes you transfer exactly 8,000 Asia Miles. As the table below shows, some banks require a minimum transfer of 10,000 Asia Miles.

💳 Minimum Transfer Blocks by Bank
Bank Points Asia Miles

10,000 OCBC$ 2,800 miles
Instant
25,000 SC Points 10,000 miles
5,000 UNI$ 10,000 miles
Note: I’m not showing HeyMax in this table because it is not considered a payment partner.

Your conversion must be completed within the promotion period, so be sure to buffer for transfer times if you’re choosing a bank that does not support instant transfers (especially UOB).

Mission 4 (1,000 miles)

To complete Mission 4, you need to earn at least 8,000 Asia Miles from travel & lifestyle partners

This category isn’t defined in the T&Cs, but I’ve clarified with Cathay Pacific that it refers to any partner except payments, namely:

  • Flights
  • Holidays
  • Shopping
  • Wellness
  • Dining

This could be a potentially tough mission to complete, especially if you don’t have any upcoming travel plans. However, remember that HeyMax counts as a Holiday merchant, so transferring 8,000 Max Miles would be sufficient to achieve this.

Mission 5 (1,200 miles)

To complete Mission 5, you need to redeem at least 8,000 Asia Miles.

Again, there are many ways of doing this, but a flight redemption would be the most ideal solution. You can redeem miles for a flight with Cathay Pacific or one of its partners, and the following sweet spots are worth considering.

From Singapore to Economy Business
Malaysia
Malaysia Air
10,000 miles 20,000 miles^

^Not so much for the flight, but the opportunity to do a oneworld lounge safari
*If you can position yourself to Bangkok, you’ll find cheaper rates of 27,000/63,000 miles in Economy/Business, and possibly better award space

It’s worth remembering that Cathay Pacific is set to carry out a small Asia Miles devaluation from 1 May 2026, which will increase the cost of medium and long-haul Business Class awards. However, short-haul Business Class awards will get marginally cheaper too.

Also note that Cathay Pacific’s fuel surcharges have increased considerably in recent weeks, so your “free ticket” could have a considerable cash co-payment.

Mission 6 (80 miles)

To complete Mission 6, complete the “80” treasure hunt in the Asia Miles by Cathay app.

Do note that Cathay Pacific has two different apps. This activity is only available on the Asia Miles by Cathay app (which is actually referred to as the Asia Miles app) in the app stores, so don’t go looking in the wrong one.

According to Cathay, “the treasures will appear at different moments during the campaign, so be sure to turn on app notifications and keep your eyes peeled”.

I’m not sure 80 miles is worth that kind of effort, but well…

When will bonus miles be received?

The bonus miles earned from this promotion will be credited by 31 July 2026.

Members are responsible for notifying Cathay Pacific by 31 August 2026 if they do not receive the bonus miles.

My plan for completing the missions

Here’s how I’m planning to complete all six missions:

  1. Transfer 8,000 Asia Miles from HeyMax (Mission 1, 2a, 4)
  2. Transfer 8,000 Asia Miles (or more realistically, 10,000 Asia Miles) from credit card points (Mission 2b, 3)
  3. Redeem a one-way Economy Class ticket to Hong Kong (Mission 5)
  4. Do the treasure hunt (Mission 6)

If you need more ideas of simple transactions which would satisfy Missions 1 and 2, you could also:

Terms & Conditions

The T&Cs for this promotion can be found at the bottom of this page.

Use this campaign to extend your Asia Miles validity

Asia Miles’ activity-based expiry system means that earning or redeeming at least one mile will extend the validity of your entire balance by a further 18 months.

So if nothing else, you should at least aim for Mission 6, which will satisfy the earning criteria. Just ensure your Asia Miles balance isn’t due to expire before 31 July 2026, however, as the miles will only post by then.

Conclusion

Cathay Pacific B777-300ER Aria Business Class

Cathay Pacific’s new Anniversary Miles Rewards promotion offers up to 4,380 bonus Asia Miles to members who complete six different missions. It’s not a life-changing amount of miles, but the tasks are relatively simple to complete — several of them bordering on freebies.

Earning or redeeming at least one mile automatically extends the validity of your entire balance by a further 18 months, so that should be an added incentive to participate.
