IHG One Rewards Pick Your Points Promo: Earn up to 2,000 bonus points per night

IHG One Rewards has opened registration for its next global promotion, which offers a choice of 2,000 bonus points per two nights, or 8,000 bonus points per four nights stayed during the promotion period, with no cap on the maximum points that can be earned.

This covers stays from 20 May to 31 August 2026, and is basically a carbon copy of the promotion we saw the same time last year — right down to the stay dates.

IHG One Rewards’ latest global promotion offers members a choice of:

• 2,000 points for every two nights, or
• 8,000 points for every four nights

Nights need not be consecutive; all that matters is the total number of nights completed during the promotion period. At the risk of stating the obvious, you should register for the 8,000 points offer if you know you’ll be staying at least four nights during this period.

I value an IHG One Rewards point at 0.5 US cents each, so this offer works out to an incremental rebate of US$5 to 10 per night. 

Here are some other important points to note. 

• Registration is required, and must be done prior to an eligible stay
• Stays must be between 20 May to 31 August 2026
• No minimum stay is necessary
• All paid nights booked directly through IHG qualify for this promotion, with a minimum nightly rate of US$30
• Award nights, and nights paid with Points & Cash do not qualify for this promotion
• There is no cap on the bonus points that can be earned
• Bonus points will post within six weeks of an eligible stay

If you’re booking stays under this promotion, you might as well register for the Mastercard x IHG One Rewards fast track offer. 

• World Legend and World Elite cardholders will receive Platinum status with six nights in a 90-day period (versus the usual 40 over a year)
• World Select and World cardholders will receive Gold status with two nights in a 90-day period (versus the usual 20 over a year)

While both Platinum and Gold are light on benefits, some status is better than no status at all!

Conclusion

IHG One Rewards’ latest global promotion offers members a choice of 2,000 bonus points per two nights, or 8,000 bonus points per four nights, for stays between 20 May to 31 August 2026. 

Frankly speaking, it’s not a great promotion and you shouldn’t be switching stays to IHG just because of it. But if you were planning to stay at IHG anyway, all it takes is a few seconds to register— and do register for the 8,000 bonus points if you’re staying at least four nights.
