Hilton Honors has launched a status challenge for employees of selected companies, which offers upfront Gold or Diamond status for 90 or 120 days respectively.
Members can retain this status until 31 March 2028 when they complete as little as six (Gold) or 10 (Diamond) nights during this period, which is a significant reduction from the usual requirements.
Hilton elite status isn’t nearly as lucrative as World of Hyatt (which is also running its own corporate status challenge), but if your travel policy requires you to stay at Hiltons, you might as well expedite your qualification.
Hilton Diamond and Gold status challenge

The details of the Hilton Diamond and Gold corporate status challenges can be found below.

Gold Status Match |

| Note: Hilton status expires on 31 March every year, so if you qualify in 2026, you will retain your status for the rest of 2026, all of 2027, and the first three months of 2028 | |
Now, it may seem tempting to go for the Diamond status match, since it comes with 120 days of upfront Diamond status, versus 90 days of Gold status with the Gold status match.
However, there is a trade-off. With the Gold status match, you need fewer nights to qualify for Hilton Gold (6 vs 8), or upgrade to Diamond (10 vs 16). Basically, if you’re not confident of meeting 16 nights, you should take the Gold challenge, endure the hardship of lower upfront status, but give yourself a better chance of qualifying for Diamond.
Do award stays count towards the qualifying nights? I’m not sure. Unlike the public status challenge, where it says quite explicitly that award stays do not count, I do not see similar wording here. For what it’s worth, Loyalty Lobby seems to believe that award stays count, based on a similar promotion offered last year.
What’s also unusual is that this offer can be used to extend existing status, per the FAQs.Â

Will my status be downgraded if I sign up for an instant offer below my current status? Members who sign up for an instant offer that is below their current status, (ie. Gold member signs up for an instant Silver promotion) will NOT have their status downgraded. The benefit of their registration is that if their status was set to expire, the Fast Track allows them the opportunity to extend their status to the following year if they meet the night requirements. What if I already have the status offered by the Fast Track? Participating in this offer could extend the Member’s status for an additional year if the criteria are met, per the offer’s terms and conditions. |
So if you were an existing Hilton Diamond, you could use this to further extend your status with just 10 nights, instead of the usual 50. This is interesting, given that similar offers I’ve seen have only been for qualification, rather than requalification.Â
Which companies are eligible?
This offer is open to employees of an unspecified list of companies. You can always try your luck by entering your company email address on the landing page.
If your company is not eligible, clicking the register button will give an error message like this:

What benefits do Hilton elite members enjoy?
Here’s a quick recap of the benefits offered at various levels of the Hilton programme.

Hilton Silver doesn’t offer much in the way of benefits, with the notable exception of getting the 5th night free on award redemptions.
Hilton Gold offers complimentary breakfast for two adults (except in the USA, where they’re doing that annoying F&B credit instead), which can save you a lot of money at expensive resorts.Â
Hilton Diamond offers incremental benefits such as lounge access and supposedly better room upgrades, though your success with the latter will really vary depending on geography and when you stay.
Hilton Diamond Reserve is the new top-tier status from 2026, adding benefits such as 4 p.m guaranteed late check-out, access to “premium clubs” that Diamond members are otherwise barred from (e.g. the Imperial Club at the Waldorf Astoria Rome Cavalieri), and advance upgrade awards that can be used to book suites.
Conclusion

Employees of selected companies can now take advantage of a Hilton Honors status match, which grants upfront Gold or Diamond status for 90 or 120 days respectively, plus the option to retain it (or upgrade, in the case of Gold) until 31 March 2028 by staying the requisite number of nights.
If your company is eligible and you do have travel plans, it’s worth considering whether switching some stays to Hilton would make sense. I personally consider Gold to be the sweet spot of the programme, though if you can stay the nights to qualify for Diamond, you might as well go for it.
