If you’ve been intending to do some regional travel in the next few months, next week might well be the best time to book a Hilton property at a lower price, while racking up bonus points.
Flash Sale
An eagle-eyed user on FlyerTalk came across details of an upcoming flash sale via the Hilton Sydney website. I can’t seem to find the actual offer page at the moment, but if accurate, we’ll be seeing 40% off prices for properties across Asia Pacific (other than China, HK & Macau) for stays up to 17 Apr 2017 when booking between 7-11 Nov 2016.
Double Up promotion (triple your points!)
The Double Up promotion has been ongoing for some time, but this quarter’s tripling of points for bookings made on the mobile app makes it especially enticing for stays up till 31 Dec 2016. Remember to register for the promotion here before making your reservation.
Visa 5,000 points promotion
As if that weren’t enough, stays up till 31 Jan 2017 booked on the mobile app and paid for using a Visa card earn an extra 5,000 HHonors points. This offer stacks with the Double Up promotion. Again, remember to register for the promotion before booking!

Hypothetically, if one were to stay at the Conrad Centennial Singapore this quarter, it might be possible to get a room at as low as S$180++ after 40% discount (about S$212 in total).
In return, we can expect about 1500 base points (10 points per US$1) for the room – when tripled, plus 5000 bonus points, plus an additional 750 Points + Points earn (remember to select that earning style) you’ll have enough to redeem a free night at a Cat 2 property like the DoubleTree JB (10,000 points).
That’s not even counting any bonus points earned by elite status – I would encourage getting fast track Gold status if possible for free breakfast and accelerated points earn.
Even going by OMAAT’s valuation of HHonors points (US0.4¢ per point), that’s something like US$40 earned from a one-night booking  – effectively a 25% rebate!
I don’t know about you, but I’m looking forward to next Monday already…
Any updates on where I can find this flash sale! Can’t seem to find the offer page anywhere

Currently see some offers for certain dates. Probably not available for really popular dates, e.g. Xma Eve…
Based on what I’ve been able to find, $180++ for Conrad was overly optimistic – that rate is more in line with the Hilton. Conrad seems to be going for $250++.
Still, think it warrants checking out if you were planning some regional travel anyway!

Can download the HHonors app; the discount is reflected under the app as member flash sale rate
Hey man, thanks for this. Just wanted to check on The 5k Visa Promotion. Seems to be for every eligible stay, means i could theoretically book 3D2N rinse repeat. Is there a limit for per card or per account registered?
Poked through the flyertalk thread and came across this post by the official HHonors Rep confirming that it’s indeed valid for unlimited usage. Go wild! =)
Wow that’s how you go around it. Thanks! Which visa card should we use to clock the miles any idea? DBS Altitude, Visa Signature or say HSBC Advance? Anyone?
Don’t really have personal experience to back it up with, but I believe for the prepaid sales rates the charges are registered as online/hotel spend. So DBS Altitude should get 3x miles per dollar, and HSBC Advance should get 4x miles.
Running out of time to lock in those rates, now! =P
Oh what fun! Someone has unearthed yet another x2 HHonors offer (activated when paying with Visa Signature/Infinite by 31 Jan) – stacks with all the other double, triple offers, +5000 points offers.

Hey Aaron, IHG is currently doing a 100% bonus offer for their points. Do you think its worth taking a plunge?
This would bring bring the points down to (SGD$0.0081) for a 120,000 points purchase.
Cheers
hmmm. I honestly know next to nothing about IHG’s program. lucky at OMAAT covered a 100% bonus recently though not sure if it’s the same one you’re referring to. i’d definitely defer to his expertise here- http://onemileatatime.boardingarea.com/2016/09/26/ihg-bonus-points-purchase/
