Cathay Pacific giving away one million miles in “Love of Miles” draw

11 prizes ranging from 50,000-300,000 Asia Miles up for grabs.

Cathay Pacific has launched a lucky draw promotion for Singapore customers with one million Asia Miles up for grabs. From now till 26 August 2018, new and existing Asia Miles members who purchase a Cathay Pacific/ Cathay Dragon ticket and register here will be entered into the “Love of Miles” draw. Each ticket purchased entitles you to one chance to win.

Here’s what can be won:

Do note that this promotion is only valid for tickets purchased and originating from Singapore. Interestingly enough the promotion is channel agnostic- you’re eligible to take part regardless of whether you purchased your flight through Cathay’s official site or via an OTA. Also note that your Asia Miles profile address needs to be in Singapore for you to be eligible to participate.

From reading the T&C, I surmise that your travel dates can be after 26 August 2018; you just need to register your entry before that.

Asia Miles recently underwent a devaluation, but it wasn’t all bad. One-way award prices improved (although round trip premium cabin tickets cost more, especially on long haul routes) and if you redeem miles for economy you’d actually be better off under the new scheme. In any case, 300,000 miles will still get you a round trip First Class ticket from Singapore to New York, so if Cathay Pacific already features in your travel plans there’s no reason why you shouldn’t be taking part.

Hi Aaron,

You probably get asked this a lot so apologies in advanced. I have credit card points expiring and need to convert them into either KF miles or AM. I have no immediate travel plans and based on the round-trip business class requirements, KF and AM appears to be roughly the same (with AM being a little cheaper even after devaluation).

Having said that, where would you recommend me to convert to? I don’t normally book flights far out in advance, so I think availability of the awards tickets will be more important to me.

Cheers!
