World of Hyatt has recently launched a new promotion where you will earn double elite qualifying nights for all your stays at Andaz properties. This promotion runs from now until 31 August 2018 and registration is not required. You can check out more details of this promotion here.
Accelerate to elite status
The World of Hyatt program is by far one of the better loyalty programs out there in the industry, offering members plenty of perks. There are 3 elite tiers in the World of Hyatt program :
- Discoverist
- Explorist
- Globalist
Here’s what you will normally require to qualify for elite status in the World of Hyatt program:
However, if you’re fortunate enough to have travels with hotel stays planned exclusively at Andaz properties, or are looking at a mattress run at Andaz properties to fast track yourself to elite status with World of Hyatt, you will be looking at the following number of qualifying nights to obtain the respective elite tiers in the World of Hyatt program:
Membership Level | Qualifying Nights |
Member | 0 |
Discoverist | 5 |
Explorist | 15 |
Globalist | 30 |
It’s worth noting that World of Hyatt award nights are counted for the purpose of this promotion so if you have bought Hyatt points in the recent points sale back in April 2018 and wish to redeem a night at an Andaz property, you will receive the night credit for that award night. 30 nights at Andaz properties to attain Globalist status definitely isn’t going to be cheap as most Andaz properties are priced moderately high. However if you do attain Globalist status via this route I’ll dare say you are one lucky fella. World of Hyatt’s Globalist members receive excellent treatment at most if not all Hyatt properties with suite upgrades and a very generous breakfast benefit.
There has been many reports over on Boardingarea where fellow bloggers are saying that they are also able to apply the complimentary breakfast benefit for room service. Which is something that neither Hilton, Starwood or Marriott offers.
Around the region, there are only a few Andaz properties for you to take advantage of with a grand total of four Andaz properties in Asia. They are:
- Andaz Singapore
- Andaz Delhi
- Andaz Tokyo Toranomon Hills
- Andaz Xintiandi, Shanghai
None of these are priced in what I would call a “wallet friendly” price range. Checking the Andaz Singapore for a staycation over the National Day weekend gives me an average room rate of S$238 pre-tax on their Members Only Advanced Purchase Rate. Not cheap by any means but you do receive a complimentary mini-bar as well as a happy hour at their lounge which they call Andaz Lounge hour. And yes, this perk is included for every room! A great perk which the Andaz Singapore offers in my opinion.
Concluding Thoughts
It’s great to see Hyatt launch a barrage of promotions aimed at World of Hyatt members. While the World of Hyatt program isn’t really mentioned much by us, it is really an excellent program which you all should check out.
Also, if you currently have stays planned at Hyatt Regency and Grand Hyatt properties before 15 July 2018, check out this other promotion which Hyatt is still running that is ending soon.
