American Express has launched a new AMEX Offer for KrisFlyer cobrand cardholders, which allows them to earn up to 5.3 mpd on mobile wallet transactions.
Like all AMEX Offers, this may be targeted, so if you don’t see it in the app or online it means you’re not eligible.

AMEX Offers are opportunities to earn bonus miles or Membership Rewards points, or discounts in the form of statement credits. These are available to Platinum, True Cashback, and KrisFlyer cobrand cardholders, and can be found in the “Offers” section of the AMEX app or web portal.

Earn up to 5.3 mpd on mobile payments with AMEX KrisFlyer cobrand cards
Registration is required for this offer, and is open from now till 16 August 2020 (or until 10,000 cards are registered, whichever comes first).
It’s not explicitly stated, but my assumption is that the cap applies on a card level (e.g the KrisFlyer Credit Card has its own 10,000 cap, as does the KrisFlyer Ascend and so on).
Registered cardholders will earn a bonus 4 mpd on the first S$250 spent on mobile wallet transactions, defined as:
- Apple Pay
- Google Pay on Android devices only (excludes payments made on iOS devices and Google Chrome)
- Samsung Pay
The 4 bonus KrisFlyer miles are awarded on top of the base miles earned, so you’re looking at a total earn rate of 5.1-5.3 mpd, depending on which KrisFlyer cobrand card you hold.

The bonus KrisFlyer miles should reflect in your card account within 5 business days from qualifying spend, but may take up to 90 days from the offer end date.

Conclusion
The cap is low, but it’s still an easy 1,000 bonus miles to earn. Make sure to register your card ASAP, and swap it out once the cap is reached.
Do check your AMEX app periodically for new offers.
