Live at 12 p.m: Save a further $30 off Klook’s discounted staycation packages

Klook has started offering staycation packages, and from 12 p.m today, the first 400 customers to check out with the code STAYWITHVISA will save a further $30 off.

As the code suggests, you’ll need to pay with a Visa credit card (see below for the best cards to use). 

The Warehouse Hotel

Klook is offering two packages for The Warehouse Hotel, both with 48-hour cancellation policies (i.e if you cancel your voucher at least 48 hours before your specified date, you’ll receive a full refund):

• Riverside Escapes (S$352 nett)
• Riverside Suites (S$605 nett)

Riverside Escapes

Buy a Riverside Escapes Package

The Riverside Escapes package costs S$352 nett and includes one night in a River View Room, breakfast for two adults, 12 p.m check-in and 3 p.m check-out. Guests will also receive S$50 F&B credit to use at the hotel’s restaurant and bar, plus two bespoke cocktails of their choice. 

River View Rooms are 34 sqm large and located on the ground floor of the hotel, looking out directly to the Singapore River. 

Riverside Suites

The Riverside Suites package costs S$605 nett and includes one night in a River View Suite, breakfast for two adults, and 1 p.m check-out. Guests will also receive S$80 F&B credit to use at the hotel’s restaurant and bar, plus two bespoke cocktails of their choice. 

River View Suites are 57 sqm large, designed in a loft style with views of the Singapore River. 

How does this compare to other rates?

The lowest breakfast-inclusive rate I can find for a River View Room and River View Suite are S$400 nett and S$830 nett.

Neither of these rates include bonus F&B credit, so Klook’s packages strike me as a good deal if you fancy The Warehouse Hotel.

The Fullerton Bay Hotel

Klook is offering two packages for The Fullerton Bay Hotel, both with 7-day cancellation policies (i.e if you cancel your voucher at least 7 days before your specified date, you’ll receive a full refund):

• Sweet Retreat (S$616 nett)
• Romance for Two (S$800 nett)

Premier Rooms are 58 sqm large, and feature views of Merlion Park. 

How does this compare to other rates?

The Fullerton Bay Hotel is currently offering a “Staycation by the Bay” package that starts from S$650++, or S$765 nett. This includes a S$100 F&B credit with a further 20% off dining and spa treatments, early check-in from 11 a.m and breakfast for two people. 

Even after accounting for the S$100 F&B credit, the S$616 nett Klook package represents a lower overall cost. 

The Fullerton Hotel

Starry Night Glamping

The Starry Night Glamping package costs S$777 nett and includes one night in a Duplex Loft Suite, a sparkling wine breakfast, afternoon tea and evening cocktails and canapes for three people (two adults, one child), and a complimentary bottle of wine. 4 p.m check-out and 20% off spa treatments are also included. 

Duplex Loft Suites are 109 sqm large, with views of the Marina Bay waterfront. They also come with club lounge access.

How does this compare to other rates?

The Fullerton Hotel is currently selling a prepaid “Luxury of Time” voucher for S$380++ (S$447 nett). This includes one night in a Heritage Room, 11 a.m check-in and 6 p.m check-out, breakfast for two adults and one child, and a S$150 dining credit. 

If you’re just looking for the cheapest possible Fullerton Hotel package, “Luxury of Time” definitely wins. 

What card should I use to purchase Klook vouchers?

Klook transactions are processed online, so you can consider using the following cards to maximize your miles. Remember, however, that you’ll need to use a Visa card for the additional $30 off. 

Do note that there is some uncertainty as to Klook’s MCC- it could be travel, or it could be 5734 (computer software- as noted on Whatcard). The suggested cards below assume the latter is true.

Conclusion

Klook’s staycation packages for the Warehouse Hotel and Fullerton Bay Hotel represent good value, and a further $30 off just sweetens the deal.
