Win 5,000 KrisFlyer miles and earn 2 mpd on foodpanda until 15 September

foodpanda is offering 2X the usual KrisFlyer miles, plus three prizes of 5,000 miles each when you order by 15 September 2020.

From 16 August to 15 September 2020, foodpanda is offering 2 KrisFlyer miles per S$1 spent, or 2X the usual rate. This is stackable with the usual 4 mpd cards for a total earn rate of 6 mpd.

3 lucky winners will also receive a further bonus of 5,000 KrisFlyer miles.

Here’s how it works.

foodpanda’s KrisFlyer promotion

2 miles per dollar

foodpanda orders normally earn miles at a rate of S$1= 1 KrisFlyer mile, subject to a minimum spend of S$20 (excluding delivery fee, however, the delivery fee also earns miles).

From 16 August to 15 September 2020, customers who enter the code 2KFMILES will earn miles at a rate of S$1= 2 KrisFlyer miles. Since this code occupies the promo code field, you won’t be able to stack it with any other foodpanda offers.

The following T&Cs apply:

  • Promo code / Campaign is valid from 16th August 2020 to 15th Septemeber 2020.
  • KrisFlyer miles can only be transferred to the rightful individual KrisFlyer account.
  • Offer is valid for KrisFlyer members only. To enjoy the offer, KrisFlyer members must record their KrisFlyer membership number into foodpanda account with the matching first and last name.
  • Valid with minimum order of $20 (inclusive of delivery fee)
  • Offer cannot be used in conjunction with other promotions, discounts, coupons or privileges.
  • Miles will be credited into your KrisFlyer account within 60 days after each successful order
  • Members are responsible for any delays caused by inaccurate details.
  • Log in to check your KrisFlyer statements online.
  • foodpanda reserves the right to change the T&Cs at any time without prior notice.
  • The winner of the 5,000 bonus miles will be selected at random, user will need to key in their KrisFlyer Membership Number into foodpanda’s account upon checkout.
  • The winner of the 5,000 bonus miles will be announced on 21st September 2020 via email.
  • The 5,000 bonus miles will be credited into your KrisFlyer account within 14 working days from submission to KrisFlyer.
  • foodpanda’s decision on the winners is final and it cannot be exchanged for cash, discounts, coupons or other privileges.

I want to focus on the one in red, because it’s flat out wrong. The foodpanda app does not allow you to use the 2KFMILES code if your order value before delivery charges is less than S$20. In other words, your “subtotal” field must be at least S$20 for the code to be applied.

foodpanda is unfortunately inconsistent in how they explain the minimum spend required to earn miles. In some places, they state that you need to order “food” above S$20 (i.e not including delivery charge), in others they state that the delivery charge counts towards the S$20.

5,000 bonus KrisFlyer miles

Any customer who uses the 2KFMILES code will be automatically entered into a lucky draw, with three prizes of 5,000 KrisFlyer miles each to be won.

Winners of the 5,000 KrisFlyer miles will be announced on 21 September 2020 via email, and this prize will be credited to KrisFlyer within 14 working days.

Take particular care with the Citi Rewards card. The Visa version has no issues with 10X on online food delivery, but Mastercard users have reported not getting 10X with Foodpanda & Deliveroo.

Conclusion

I’m personally not a big foodpanda user, since I find their customer service to be the worst of the big 3 food delivery providers. That said, if you’re ordering through them you might as well pick up some extra miles while you’re at it.

Remember to use the promo code, as the bonus is not automatically granted.
