Ahead of the upcoming 10.10 sales, OCBC has launched a “double down” promotion for the OCBC Titanium Rewards Card. The first 5,000 cardholders to register via this link will earn 8 mpd on selected online merchants, up to a maximum spend of S$500.
OCBC Titanium Rewards Double Down promotion
From 5 October to 30 November 2020, registered OCBC Titanium Rewards cardholders will earn 20X OCBC$ (equivalent to 8 mpd) on Amazon, Apple, Lazada, Qoo10, Shopee and Taobao, capped at a total spend of S$500.
This is broken into:
- The usual rate of 10 OCBC$ per S$1 for spending at these merchants
- An additional 10 OCBC$ per S$1 for the first S$500 spent
The maximum additional OCBC$ a customer can earn is 5,000 (i.e 2,000 miles). In other words, cardholders who hold both the Blue and Pink versions of the Titanium Rewards card will only be able to enjoy this promotion once.
To qualify for bonus OCBC$, all transactions must post by 30 November 2020, so be careful about purchases made towards the end of the month.
All bonus OCBC$ will be credited to your account by 31 December 2020. The full T&C can be found here.
Conclusion
This is a nice way to pick up some additional miles, especially for those with big plans for the upcoming 10.10 sales. Based on past promotions, even buying gift cards will trigger the bonus, so that’s always an option for someone who doesn’t have anything in mind right now.
While the overall cap of S$500 is relatively low, it’s still an easy chance to earn 2,000 bonus miles for very little effort.

Would you know whether Redmart expenses are eligible ? Nothing mentioned in T&Cs
based on previous promotion, yes it will be.
How do I know if I am one of the first 5,000 registrations? Does getting the confirmation screen with a green tick and a reference number after inputting card details ensure that I am within the first 5,000 and will get 8mpd? I know that some of these promotions aren’t at all transparent. The T&Cs just reiterate the first 5,000 registrations line and say nothing about successful registrations.
Call and ask to be certain
Yes, but the CSOs at OCBC seem pretty clueless. To quote “The reason the cash rebate was not awarded was due to a reversal”. The reversal was actually me paying my credit card bill. I just want to get to the next multiple of 25,000 OCBC$ so I can transfer my points and close this card.
