Inside Singapore Airlines, the last of the three Discover Your SIA experiences, went live on Sunday with a little twist.
Instead of purchasing tickets on the spot, customers were invited to fill out an โexpression of interestโ form, indicating their preferred date and add-on activities. Upon submission, a wait time of three working days was quoted.
Itโs been slightly more than three days, but confirmation emails have started coming in today. These are being done in batches, so donโt freak out if you havenโt heard anything yet.
Inside the confirmation email youโll see your assigned time slot for the guided tour, as well as any add-on experiences you may have requested. Interestingly enough, the emails are being sent from sqflightinfo@flightinfo.singaporeair.com, so add this to your safe list just in case.
What card should I use to pay?
Payment must be made within 48 hours of receiving the email, or else your booking will be cancelled.
You have the option of using KrisFlyer miles to pay, at an โenhancedโ rate of 1.02 cents. This is more than the 0.8 cents offered for SIA@Home and Restaurant A380 @Changi, but is still poor value in the grand scheme of things. Unless your KrisFlyer account is overflowing with miles, Iโd advise against it.
While the previous Discover Your SIA experiences were sold on KrisShop, this latest one seems to be billed by Singapore Airlines directly. As such, it will probably not code as a duty free transaction (MCC 5309), and itโs therefore safest to use the following credit cards:
Earn Rate | Remarks | |
![]() |
4 mpd | Cap S$2K per c. month |
![]() |
4 mpd | S$1,000 per c. month |
![]() |
3 mpd | No cap |
![]() |
2 mpd | No cap |
![]() |
2 mpd | No cap |
S. Month= Statement Month | C. Month= Calendar Month |
Since Inside SIA is not processed by KrisShop.com, you wonโt earn an additional 1.5 mpd on your booking, nor can you use any KrisShop vouchers you may have.
On the plus side, PPS Club members will earn 1 PPS Value per S$1, while KrisFlyer Elite members will earn 3 Elite Miles per S$1. Spending on add-on activities is also eligible for the accrual of PPS Value/Elite miles.

Conclusion
I submitted two different booking requests- one for the 21 November session for myself, and another with my family on 29 November. I received confirmation for the latter but not the former, so Iโm still keeping my fingers crossed- Iโd like to be part of the first batch!
If you havenโt heard anything yet, I wouldnโt lose heart. There are bound to be some cancellations; I know of at least one husband/wife team who each submitted booking requests, and both of them got approved. We should see a second wave of emails go out in 48 hours, after some of the existing spots get forfeited.
Who else got your Inside SIA tickets?

For everyone who managed to get tickets, enjoy! ๐
Didnโt receive anything, despite filling it up within the first 10 minutes and requesting the full flight simulator experience. Any email they sent from please so I can chase up?
