Dine Like A Member promo
With Dine Like A Member, Hilton Honors members will enjoy discounts at participating F&B outlets across Asia Pacific up till 30 June 2022 (the offer is valid till 31 March 2022 in Australia and New Zealand).
The discount scales with your membership tier as shown below:
Dine Like A Member discounts are available for a group size of up to 10 pax, which won’t be an issue now anyway given the restriction on dining group sizes.
The full list of participating outlets can be found here, but be careful- it’s not up to date. While Conrad Centennial does not appear on the list, its Facebook page is nonetheless advertising the promotion.
Given the Conrad Centennial’s inclusion, American Express Platinum cardholders may be wondering how Dine Like A Member compares with Love Dining. Here’s how Love Dining’s discount structure tiers:
- 1 pax: 15%
- 2 pax: 50%
- 3 pax: 35%
- 4 pax: 25%
- 5-10 pax: 20%
Assuming you’re a Gold/Diamond, Dine Like A Member’s flat 25% off is the better option for solo guests or those in groups of 4 or more.
You should also remember that:
- Dine Like a Member applies to both food and drinks, while Love Dining only applies to food
- Dine Like a Member allows you to use a higher-earning card to pay (like the HSBC Revolution), while Love Dining requires you to use the lower-earning AMEX Platinum card.
The full T&C of this offer can be found here.
Earn one-time 500 bonus points for dining
Hilton is one of the few major chains that does not award points for F&B when the member is not staying at the hotel.
However, with Dine Like A Member, a flat one-time bonus of 500 Hilton points will be awarded with a minimum spend of US$25 (S$35) to:
- Non-staying members
- Staying guests on ineligible stays (e.g. those who booked via OTAs)
If the diner is an in-house guest on an eligible stay, he/she will continue to earn points as per normal by charging the bill to his/her room. The minimum spend does not include taxes and service charge.
500 Hilton points are worth about US$2.50, so it’s like a further 10% rebate assuming you manage to spend US$25 on the dot.
Bonus points will take 4-6 weeks to post to your account, and do not count towards elite tier status qualification.
Since it costs nothing to join the Hilton Honors programme, this is a handy discount to have (and even trumps Love Dining in certain scenarios). Blackout dates apply, so check with the restaurant before heading down.
Do note that Marriott Bonvoy is offering a similar dining promotion for its members which maxes out at 20%- you can read about that here.
