GHA DISCOVERY has launched a new promotion that offers registered members a bonus D$50 (US$50) for stays of at least two nights at a new brand, capped at four times.
That’s a total of D$200 up for grabs, on top of the regular D$ earn rate of 4-7% depending on tier.
GHA DISCOVERY new brand promotion
GHA New Brand Offer |
GHA DISCOVERY members can now enjoy a bonus D$50 per stay (up to four times) when they book stays of at least two nights at a new brand (see next section for definition).
Step 1: Register for the promotion on this page.
Step 2: Book an eligible stay between 16 September and 31 October 2022 at a new brand. Stays should be a minimum of two nights.
Step 3: Complete your stays by 30 November 2022. The promotion can be applied on up to four stays per member.
Step 4: Enjoy an additional D$50 reward on top of your standard D$ earnings after completing your stay
If your booking was made before 16 September 2022, you should cancel and rebook to qualify for the offer (assuming your booking is refundable).
This offer is valid for stays with check-out date by 30 November 2022. To be clear, you will not earn any bonus D$ if your check-out date is from 1 December 2022 onwards, notwithstanding the fact your check-in fell within the promotional period.
Bookings that include multiple rooms will be counted and considered as a single stay, and rewarded only once.
Promotional D$ awarded from this campaign will expire in six months, as opposed to regular D$ which can be valid for up to two years, depending on tier.

What counts as a new brand?
GHA defines a “new brand” as a brand different from the “home brand” (the one where you joined the loyalty programme).
To find out what your home brand is, simply login to the GHA DISCOVERY app or website, navigate to “My Card” (app) or “Membership Details (website). Your home brand will be shown at the top left.
In my case, my home brand is Pan Pacific Hotels Group, so I can earn the bonus at Avani, Kempinski, Capella etc. brands, notwithstanding the fact I’ve actually stayed there before.
If your membership card only shows the GHA DISCOVERY logo and no other brand, you can earn the bonus at any GHA brand.
Which GHA brands are participating?
GHA provides the following list of participating brands:

This seems to suggest that PARKROYAL Hotels & Resorts and PARKROYAL COLLECTION are seen as two different brands, though I’d be a bit hesitant since the GHA brand tracker still counts them as one.
Maximising this promotion
Since the reward is a flat D$50, the cheaper your room rate, the higher the effective rebate.
I did some searching in the region, and concluded that Thailand offers the cheapest stays out there. The Avani properties in Bangkok are hovering around US$45…
…while Phuket and Krabi have hotels at the US$35 mark, almost too good to be true!
Of course, even if you end up booking an expensive hotel it’s still US$50 off a future stay, at no additional cost to you.
How do you use D$?
As a reminder, D$ = US$1 at GHA properties worldwide. It’s currently only possible to use D$ during a stay, at the front desk of a hotel. You cannot redeem D$ online, nor can you spend them on F&B or spa treatments when not an in-house guest.
If you want to use D$ to pay for a prepaid rate, I suggest emailing the hotel beforehand to clarify how it’ll work. Anecdotally, I’ve booked “prepaid” rates at the Sindhorn Kempinski and other GHA hotels that weren’t charged until check-in, allowing me to use my D$ nonetheless.
Conclusion
GHA DISCOVERY members can register and earn a bonus D$50 for every stay outside the home brand, capped at four times. A minimum of two nights is required per stay, but this is otherwise a very good deal that shouldn’t be too hard to achieve.
Iโve actually written in to check twice with GHA and Parkroyal collection and Parkroyal are indeed considered two different brands. Apparently the issue with the tracker is a technical glitch which they are working on fixing
thanks for the update! was wondering about that…
Adding a DP here. My home brand is Pan Pacific, completed 2 nights stay at Parkroyal KL, and got credited with the D$50 anyway
yup that’s correct. Pan pacific and parkroyal are seen as 2 different brands. even parkroyal and parkroyal collection are seen as 2 different brands now
