Citi Prestige offering S$300 dining voucher with S$6,000 overseas spend

Expired

Register your Citi Prestige Card and spend S$6,000 in FCY by 31 March 2023 to get a S$300 Unlisted Collection dining voucher.

Citibank has launched a new targeted promotion for Citi Prestige Cardholders, which offers a S$300 Unlisted Collection dining voucher with a minimum foreign currency (FCY) spend of S$6,000.

This voucher is valid at any Unlisted Collection restaurant, a list that includes heavyweights such as Burnt Ends, Cloudstreet and Esquina.

From 13 December 2022 till 31 March 2023, Citi Prestige Cardholders can register for this promotion by sending the following SMS to 72484:

📱 SMS to 72484
PRSTSPND<space>Last 4 digits of eligible card number
e.g. PRSTSPND 1234

Citi says that “enrollment for this promotion is limited”, but no specific cap is mentioned. You’ll be deemed to be successfully enrolled if you receive a confirmation SMS from Citibank.

Do note that the T&Cs say you must have directly received an invitation or notification to participate in this promotion, which means this is a targeted offer. Furthermore, only principal cardholders are eligible to participate.

Once registered, cardholders must spend at least S$6,000 on FCY transactions, either in-person or online. This covers all FCY spending, with the usual exceptions as follows:

i. annual fees, interest charges, late payment charges, GST, cash advances, instalment/easy/extended/equal payment plans, preferred payment plans, balance transfers, cash advances, quasi-cash transactions, all fees charged by Citibank or third party, miscellaneous charges imposed by Citibank (unless otherwise stated in writing by Citibank);

ii. funds transfers using the card as source of funds;

iii. bill payments (including via Citibank Online or via any other channel or agent);

iv. payments to educational institutions;

v. payments to government institutions and services (including but not limited to court cases, fines, bail and bonds, tax payment, postal services, parking lots and garages, intra-government purchases);

vi. payments to insurance companies (sales, underwriting, and premiums);

vii. payments to financial institutions (including banks and brokerages);

viii. payments to non-profit organizations;

ix. betting or gambling (including lottery tickets, casino gaming chips, off-track betting, and wagers at race tracks) through any channel;

x. any top-ups or payment of funds to payment service providers, prepaid cards and any prepaid accounts;

xi. transit-related transactions;

xii. transactions performed at establishments/businesses/merchants that fall within an excluded Merchant Category or a merchant that has been excluded by the bank, as sent out in www.citibank.com.sg/rwdexcl (this list of excluded Merchant Categories or merchants may be updated from time to time at our discretion and Eligible Cardmembers shall refer to this list for any updates)

The dining voucher will be awarded on top of the usual FCY earn rate of 2 mpd (technically 2.02 to 2.12 mpd once the relationship bonus is factored in), so it’s really a freebie assuming you intended to use your card overseas anyway (well, setting aside the fact that all FCY transactions on the Citi Prestige Card incur a 3.25% fee).

⚠️ Avoid Amaze
Because I’m sure this question will be asked: pairing your Amaze with Citi Prestige won’t work, because Amaze converts all transactions into SGD. Your spending for this promotion must be in FCY.

The full T&Cs of this offer can be found here.

The dining voucher is valid for one year.

Citibank says that the voucher can be used at any restaurant listed on the Unlisted Collection website, though I wonder whether they meant Singapore restaurants only since the voucher is denominated in SGD.

T&Cs

As a reminder, the Citi Prestige Card is currently offering a 48,000 miles sign-up bonus, valid for applications submitted by 31 January 2023. Applicants must pay the S$535 annual fee and spend S$800 in the first two months of approval, which makes this a rather solid offer in my opinion.

For the full details, refer to the post below.
