Kris+ Miles Rush: Earn up to 16 mpd on restaurant dining

Kris+ has launched a new dining promotion called Miles Rush, which runs from now till 28 February 2023. 

During this period, Kris+ users can earn up to 16 mpd on dining at 13 selected restaurants including Level 33, OverEasy, Perch and The Coconut Club. This consists of 12 mpd from the Kris+ app, plus up to 4 mpd from paying with the right credit card.

To sweeten the deal, Kris+ users can buy cash vouchers at up to a 30% discount, while earning up to 16 mpd on those as well!

Earn 12 mpd at selected restaurants with Kris+

Under the Miles Rush promotion, Kris+ users can earn 12 mpd when dining at the following restaurants, with no cap or minimum spend required.

The upsized earn rate should already be reflected on the Kris+ app when you tap on the relevant restaurant.

On top of this, Kris+ users can also earn 12 mpd on discounted cash vouchers to redeem during their visit. Some examples include:

• Honolulu Cafe: Pay S$37.50 for S$50 cash voucher (earn 444 miles)
• QIN Restaurant and Bar: Pay S$35 for S$50 cash voucher (earn 420 miles)
• Dopo Teatro: Pay S$40 for S$50 cash voucher (earn 480 miles)
• SARAI: Pay S$40 for S$50 cash voucher (earn 480 miles)

For avoidance of doubt, you can stack the cash vouchers with Kris+ earning at the restaurant itself (in fact, you’ll have to since the vouchers can only be redeemed via Kris+). 

To illustrate, suppose I pay S$35 for a S$50 cash voucher at QIN (which I tried during my stay at The Clan Hotel and really enjoyed), and later spend S$80 on a meal there. My total earnings from Kris+ (before taking credit card miles into account) will be:

• 420 miles from buying the voucher (S$35 @ 12 mpd)
• 360 miles from paying S$30 at the restaurant (S$30 @ 12 mpd)

Don’t forget to transfer any miles earned from Kris+ to your KrisFlyer account immediately. If you wait more than seven days, these miles will be stuck inside Kris+, where they expire after six months and can only be spent at a puny 0.67 cents each! 

Fortunately, a big “transfer to KrisFlyer” button appears upon completing your transaction, so there’s no excuse to not do it immediately. 

What card should you use for Kris+?

Kris+ does not change the underlying MCC, so payments at restaurants will code as online dining transactions.

You can use the following cards to earn up to 4 mpd, in addition to the 12 mpd from Kris+.

Dining out could be much more rewarding this month thanks to the Kris+ Miles Rush promotion, with up to 16 mpd plus additional savings from the discounted cash vouchers. Be sure to make your booking via Makan+ too and pick up some extra miles!
