Accor sale: Up to 37% off hotels in Southeast Asia, South Korea, Japan & Maldives

Accor has launched a “private sale” for selected hotels in Southeast Asia, South Korea, Japan and the Maldives, valid for stays between 1 March to 31 July 2023. 

Despite the name, it’s really open to any member of the free-to-join Accor Live Limitless programme, who save 30% off the flexible rate. Accor Plus members enjoy an additional 10% discount, i.e. 37% off the flexible rate (because it’s 10% off the 30% off rate, not 40% off the total).

The discounted rates will automatically appear when logged in to your Accor Live Limitless or Accor Plus account. 

For example, here’s the rates I see at the Raffles Grand Hotel D’Angkor, as an Accor Plus member. Note the “Accor Plus Members Private Sale- 30% + 10% off your stay” rate of US$207.90.

For comparison, here’s how the same dates appear to a non Accor Live Limitless member. Notice how the public flexible rate is US$330. As an Accor Plus member, I should be saving 30% + 10% off that rate, i.e. 0.7*0.9*US$330= US$207.90.

Full prepayment is required in advance at the time of booking, and all bookings are non-refundable. Accor Plus members can book a maximum of two rooms per night if the member who made the booking is staying in one of the rooms and both rooms have the same stay dates. 

All bookings will be eligible to earn ALL points as per normal.

What card should I use to book?

Bookings made under the Accor Private Sale will be charged at the time of booking (and unlike some other hotel chains which only pre-authorise your card, Accor really does charge), and assuming you’re booking a hotel outside of Singapore, the following cards would earn you the most miles.

Since the Citi Rewards doesn’t award 4 mpd for hotel transactions, pairing it with the Amaze isn’t an option. You can, however, pair the UOB Lady’s Card (with travel selected as your 10X category) with Amaze to earn 4 mpd with zero FCY fees.

Accor has launched a new private sale for bookings made by 14 March and stayed by 31 July 2023. Accor Live Limitless members will save 30% off, while Accor Plus members will save 37% off the best flexible rate. 

Just note that all bookings are prepaid and strictly non-refundable, so confirm your plans before pulling the trigger.
