GHA DISCOVERY has launched a new promo for hotel bookings, which offers 2X Discovery Dollars (D$) on any stay at its 800+ hotels worldwide, including well-known chains like Avani, Capella, Kempinski, Marco Polo Hotels, Pan Pacific, PARKROYAL and Viceroy.
Provided you’re able to book and stay by 30 September 2023, this could be rather lucrative indeed.

GHA DISCOVERY members can now register to earn 2x D$ for all stays booked and completed from 1 August to 30 September 2023 (ongoing stays that end after 30 September 2023 will not be eligible).
Bookings must be made via the GHA DISCOVERY app/website or the hotel’s official website in order to qualify for this offer. No minimum stay or minimum spend is required.
Depending on their DISCOVERY tier, members can expect to earn anywhere from a 8-14% rebate on their stays.

Do note that the bonus D$ earned under this promotion (and all promotions, for that matter) are subject to a 6-month expiry from the date of issuance, regardless of tier. For example, a Titanium member who spends US$100 under this promotion would earn D$14, of which D$7 follows the regular 24-month expiry, and D$7 follows an accelerated 6-month expiry.
Bookings made prior to registration will not be eligible, so if you’re holding an existing booking you’ll need to cancel and rebook.
As a reminder, D$1 = US$1 at GHA properties worldwide. It’s currently only possible to use D$ during a stay, at the front desk of a hotel. You cannot redeem D$ online, nor can you spend them on F&B or spa treatments when not an in-house guest (GHA is planning to add the ability to redeem D$ outside a stay, but there’s no word on when that will happen).

Members must register for the Promotion within the promotional opt-in period (1 August 2023 – 30 September 2023) prior to their stay by clicking on the “Register” button on the designated website page. Once they are registered, members must then make an eligible booking during the promotional period (1 August 2023 – 30 September 2023) and complete the eligible stay related to that booking within the required stay period (1 August 2023 – 30 September 2023). The eligible stay must be completed and the member must be checked out on or before 30 September for Promotional D$ to be awarded. Ongoing stays with a checkout date after 30 September 2023 will not receive Promotional D$. Promotional D$ are awarded in addition to the Base D$ that is issued as a result of completing the eligible stay. Promotional D$ are subject to a limited expiry term of six (6) months from the date of issuance and are therefore excluded from the Base D$ expiration rules. Any Base D$ earned on a member’s stay will be subject to expiration based on standard tier-based expiration rules. This offer is subject to change or withdrawal without notice and is subject to availability.
Bookings and eligible stays made prior to the Registration will not be considered as a qualified eligible stay towards the promotion, even if they are in the Promotional Stay period.
Bookings made prior to 1 August 2023, will also not be considered towards the promotion.
“Ineligible rates” do not qualify for earning Promotional D$. Stays that take place prior to the member’s registration for the Promotion will not be awarded Promotional D$.
“Ineligible Rates” shall include, without limitation: (1) third-party online retailer rates, such as Expedia.com, Booking.com, Hotels.com, Orbitz.com, Priceline, Travelocity.com, etc. (“OTAs”) (2) tours series rates and charter rates (3) room rates for airline staff and crew where rooms are pre-booked and paid for by the airline or directly; (4) travel-industry staff rates; (5) any employee rates, employee family or employee friends discount rates; (6) other discounted rates; (7) any complimentary, free, traded or bartered night stays, or any stays in connection with gift certificates or other awards or vouchers. First stays on ineligible rates may receive DISCOVERY Dollars on a promotional basis, but these stays will not count towards tier qualification; subsequent stays on an ineligible rate will not receive D$ nor will they count towards tier qualification.
This offer is subject to change or withdrawal without notice, cannot be transferred or exchanged for other forms of compensation, cannot be combined with any other offer or promotion unless explicitly stated and is subject to availability. D$ is not redeemable for cash.

Since the Citi Rewards doesn’t award 4 mpd for hotel transactions, pairing it with the Amaze isn’t an option. You can, however, pair the UOB Lady’s Card (with travel selected as your 10X category) with Amaze to earn 6 mpd with reduced FCY fees.

Remember, it only takes three stays to retain your GHA DISCOVERY Titanium status (provided you make them all with different brands), so now might not be the worst time to start planning your requalification!
