Cardholders who spend at least S$15,000 on eligible Singapore Airlines tickets within the first 12 months of approval will be automatically upgraded to KrisFlyer Elite Gold. This upgrade is valid for one year, after which they will need to requalify through regular means.

The latest AMEX KrisFlyer Ascend sign-up offer gives 31,200 bonus miles for S$1,500 of spend, plus 1,800 base miles. On a spend to miles basis, it’s one of the best offers we’ve seen so far in 2023, and together with the Hilton hotels voucher and four complimentary lounge passes, sweetens the deal for the first year of membership.
Remember to apply by 4 September 2023 if you’re interested.
Not a bad sign up bonus. However, AMEX has now made earnings more difficult including a forex fee of 3.25% soon. More payment types are excluded. Hard for AMEX to sustain on usage level. Well make hay while the sun has not set yet.
If I have a AMEX True Cashback Card, will I still be eligible for the sign up bonus?
Called AMEX CSO 2 times, and told there’s a timeout of 12 months after cancelling existing cards before being considered as a new customer!
if you previously held an ascend, then there is a 12 month timeout period. however, if you did not hold an ascend, there is no timeout period.
