It’s been a while since we’ve seen a global promotion for Marriott Bonvoy; unlike Hilton Honors, the chain doesn’t run them back to back.
But now we have details on an upcoming promotion called Go Your Way, which starts from 12 September 2023. This is an opportunity to earn 1,500 bonus points per paid stay, with 3,000 bonus points for every three Marriott Bonvoy brands you explore.

Marriott Bonvoy’s latest promotion offers:
- 1,500 bonus points per paid stay
- 3,000 bonus points after three paid stays, each at a different participating Marriott Bonvoy hotel brand
Do note the following:
- Registration is required, and must be done by 22 November 2023
- Stays must be between 12 September to 6 December 2023
- Stays booked before registration will qualify; all that matters is that your check-in and check-out date fall within the promo period
- Award stays, Free Night Awards and Cash + Points Awards don’t count towards this promotion
- Bonus points will post within seven business days of check-out
- No minimum length of stay is required to earn the bonus points
All Marriott Bonvoy hotels around the world are participating, and there is no cap on the maximum number of bonus points you can earn.
Is this promotion worth it?
1 Marriott Bonvoy point is worth about 0.7 US cents, so this is equivalent to earning US$10.50 extra per stay, and US$21 per three brands explored.
As a reminder, the different Marriott Bonvoy brands are:

I wouldn’t call it a huge incentive, quite frankly, unless you plan to do a lot of short, low-rate stays. There might be cities with five or six different Marriott brands, and if you hopped hotels every night, you could conceivably earn a nice little bonus.
What credit card should you use for Marriott stays?
Assuming your hotel booking is charged overseas in foreign currency, here’s the best cards to use for miles.
Card | Earn Rate | Remarks |
UOB Lady’s Card Apply |
6 mpd* | Max S$1K per c. month |
UOB Lady’s Solitaire Apply |
6 mpd* | Max S$3K per c. month |
UOB Visa Signature Apply |
4 mpd | Min S$1K, max S$2K FCY spend per s. month |
HSBC Revolution Apply |
4 mpd^ | Max S$1K per c. month |
SCB Visa Infinite Apply |
3 mpd | Min. S$2K spend per s. month |
S. Month= Statement Month | C. Month= Calendar Month *Must declare travel as quarterly 10X category ^Must use online or contactless payment |
Since the Citi Rewards doesn’t award 4 mpd for hotel transactions, pairing it with the Amaze isn’t an option. You can, however, pair the UOB Lady’s Card (with travel selected as your 10X category) with Amaze to earn 6 mpd with reduced FCY fees.
Conclusion
Marriott Bonvoy’s latest global promotion starts on 12 September 2023, with 1,500 bonus points per stay and 3,000 bonus points per three brands stayed.
It only takes a few seconds to register, so I’d encourage you to do so even if you don’t have any stays planned at the moment.
Hi, can I please confirm my understanding?
โOnly eligible paid stays completed after registration and during the promotion earning period will qualify toward the promotion.โ
T&Cs say this so wondering if I check in on 4 Dec but check out 7 Dec, a day after promo period, does that still count?
I have an actual planned trip with these dates ๐ .
Only eligible paid stays completed within the period. As per T&Cs. You could call up bonvoy and make a fuss but it’s pretty clear that the stay would be posted only after 7 Dec, which falls outside.
Thanks! Saw the article updated now to include check out which confused me earlier. Thanks for your input
Hi Aaron!
Thanks (also) for this! Would my thinking be correct..?
of course within Ts & Csโฆ
Monday night at Courtyard, Tuesday night at JW Marriott and Wednesday night at Lรฉ Meridienโฆ would get me 7,500 bonus points..?
1.5×3 + 3000 yes.
Morning! If I booked the a marriott bonvoy hotel/resort through a third party site (e.g agoda, expedia), and the stay is between 12 September to 6 December 2023 (promo period) – will I get the 1500 points?
Thanks!
No, the booking needs to be made through Marriott.
I stayed at 3 different properties and the 1500 points is reflected on each stay but the additional 3000 doesnโt show up on my account. Anyone else have the same experience?
Hi, is this promotion for everyone or targeted?
