Back in February 2024, Hilton announced plans to launch a new partnership with Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH), following the latter’s breakup with World of Hyatt. SLH, for the uninitiated, is a collection of 570 independent boutique luxury hotels across more than 90 countries worldwide.ย
The partnership went live in early June with just a handful of properties, but Hilton has now expanded the list significantly with nearly 400 SLH hotels now participating. That’s a pleasant surprise, because early indications were that the initial rollout for 2024 would be much smaller.
Hilton Honors members can now earn and redeem points at participating SLH properties, enjoying the 5th night free on redemptions, complimentary breakfast and room upgrades, depending on tier.
Hilton’s expanded partnership with SLH
Hilton Honors members can book stays at participating SLH properties via the Hilton website, the same way they would any other property.
For instance, you can now see theย Sukhothai listed in Bangkok, alongside stalwart options like the Waldorf Astoria and Conrad.ย
Since Hilton no longer has award charts, it’s impossible to say the range of prices that SLH properties will take,ย except that no hotel should price above 150,000 points (assuming a base room is available).
However, the standard Hilton rule applies: only base rooms will be reasonably priced. Anything above a base room follows a different pricing formula, which dramatically slashes the value of your points.ย
Hilton has not provided a comprehensive list of participating SLH properties, but the ones I’ve spotted that may be of interest to readers in Singapore are:
- Lanson PLace Causeway Bay (Hong Kong)
- Aleenta Resort and Spa (Hua Hin)
- Marasca Khao Yai (Khao Yai)
- Sowaka (Kyoto)
- Ovolo South Yarra (Melbourne)
- Ovolo Woolloomooloo (Sydney)
- Hotel Eclat (Taipei)
- The Tokyo Station Hotel (Tokyo)
Do note that only a fraction of SLH rooms are bookable through Hilton Honors, so it’s entirely possible that you’ll see rooms available through SLH channels that you can’t book via Hilton.
What benefits can Hilton Honors members expect at SLH?
Here’s a summary of the benefits that Hilton Honors members can expect at participating SLH properties.ย

In terms of points accrual, Hilton Honors members will earn the standard 10 points per US$1 spent, before factoring elite bonuses.ย
SLH properties will also be eligible to earn bonus points and elite night credits under Hilton’s quarterly or ad-hoc promotions.
Conclusion
Hilton and Small Luxury Hotels of the World have significantly expanded their collaboration, with nearly 400 properties now available for booking through Hilton’s website.
More choice is always a good thing, and it’s a great opportunity to explore something more exciting than a cookie-cutter Doubletree or Hilton Garden Inn.ย
