Accor Live Limitless offering 50% transfer bonus

From now till 31 October 2024, transfer points from HSBC, OCBC and 10 other programmes to Accor Live Limitless with a 50% bonus.

Accor Live Limitless has launched a new promotion that offers a 50% transfer bonus for rewards points from 12 participating banks, including HSBC and OCBC in Singapore.ย

There is a 10,000 bonus points cap that limits the upside, but you can still get decent value for your points, so it’s still worth considering nonetheless.ย

In addition to this, there’s also an opportunity to win a 2-night stay at a Sofitel property, including Sofitel Dubai The Palm, Sofitel Singapore City Centre, Sofitel Kuala Lumpur and Sofitel Ambassador Seoul.ย

Accor Live Limitless 50% transfer bonus

Well, that’s…a lovely sentiment

From 1-31 October 2024, ALL is offering a 50% transfer bonus for conversions from the following programmes (Singapore-relevant ones in bold):

  • BNZ Reward
  • China CITIC Bank Point Programme
  • CIMB Member Rewards
  • CTBC Loyalty Rewards Programme
  • Fliggy Members
  • HSBC Singapore
  • HSBC Mexico
  • Hyundai Card
  • Inbursa Rewards
  • OCBC (STACK Rewards)
  • SC Brunei
  • SC UAE

The maximum number of bonus points is capped at 10,000,ย which is a bit of a bummer, since past Accor transfer bonuses have not featured a cap. For what it’s worth, the cap applies on a bank level, so if you had both HSBC and OCBC points to transfer, you’d enjoy double the cap.

Do note that the transfer bonus is fulfilled on the Accor side, so it’s completely normal that you still see the regular rates reflected on the respective transfer portal.ย

Transfers from HSBC

25,000 HSBC points 5,000 points
7,500 points

If you’re transferring HSBC points, a minimum transfer block of 5,000 points (pre-bonus) applies, but subsequent conversions beyond this amount can be as small as 1 point.ย

Given the 10,000 bonus point cap, you’d max out the offer with a transfer of 100,000 HSBC points (30,000 ALL points).

Transfers are processed instantly,ย with fees waived till 31 January 2025.ย

Transfers from OCBC

1,000 90ยฐN Miles 500 points
750 points
1,000 VOYAGE Miles 500 points
750 points
10,000 OCBC$ 2,000 points
3,000 points

If you’re transferring 90ยฐN Miles and VOYAGE Miles, a minimum transfer block of 500 points (pre-bonus) applies, but subsequent conversions beyond this amount can be as small as 50 points.

If you’re transferring OCBC$, a minimum transfer block of 2,000 points (pre-bonus) applies, but subsequent conversions beyond this amount can be as small as 1,000 points.

Given the 10,000 bonus point cap, you’d max out the offer with a transfer of 100,000 OCBC$ or 40,000 90ยฐN/VOYAGE miles (30,000 ALL points).

Transfers are processed instantly,ย and a S$25 admin fee applies.

Sofitel hotel giveaway

Sofitel Singapore City Centre

This transfer bonus is being run in conjunction with a Sofitel hotel giveaway, which includes a two-night stay with breakfast and a “VIP welcome”, whatever that is.ย

It’s not clear whether you need to register for the giveaway in order to enjoy the transfer bonus, but since it literally takes 30 seconds you might as well do so. You can find the entry form on the landing page here.ย

The exact Sofitel propertyย depends on which programme you transfer points from (since that’s taken as a proxy for your residence), and if it’s HSBC Singapore or OCBC, you win the Sofitel Singapore City Centre.ย

Is it worth it?

Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua

ALL is a straightforward programme to analyse, because points have a fixed value of 2,000 points = โ‚ฌ40 (or S$0.029 per point).ย

Given a 50% transfer bonus and the respective transfer ratios to KrisFlyer for HSBC and OCBC, you’re getting roughly 2.15 cents per KrisFlyer mile.ย It’s not too bad, and I couldย justify going for this, assuming you’re into the whole ALL ecosystem already.

Conclusion

From now till 31 October 2024, ALL is offering a 50% transfer bonus for HSBC, OCBC and 10 other loyalty programme points.

The maximum bonus is capped at 10,000 points per programme, so you won’t be able to go too crazy, but at 2.15 cents per KrisFlyer mile it could be worth considering for some.
