Qatar Airways Privilege Deals: Save 25% off Business and Economy awards for Sep/Oct 2026

Last month, Qatar Airways launched a new monthly redemption discount, which offers Qatar Privilege Club members 25% off award flights to selected destinations in Business and Economy Class.

This month’s deals have just gone live, and the promotion now has a proper name: Privilege Deals.

In some ways, this is similar to KrisFlyer Spontaneous Escapes, or Flying Blue Promo Rewards — a way for the airline to fill seats that would otherwise have flown empty. However, Privilege Deals offers a slightly longer travel period that covers the next two months (versus the next month only for Spontaneous Escapes). More importantly, these awards can be refunded under regular cancellation rules, so there’s less risk in making speculative bookings.

While the offer is ostensibly just for flights to or from Doha, it actually works so long as your itinerary starts or ends in one of the promotional cities — even if the origin or final destination is not part of the promotion.

That’s good news, because Singapore is one of the featured destinations this month, albeit in Economy Class only.

Qatar Airways Privilege Deals for September/October 2026

Details

Qatar Privilege Club is now offering a 25% discount on selected Business and Economy award redemptions booked and travelled during the following periods:

• Booking period: 5-14 September 2026
• Travel period: 5 September to 31 October 2026
• Eligible carriers: Qatar Airways only

There is no limit to the number of discounted awards a member can book. However, if you wish to book for travellers other than yourself, you will need to unlock the ability to add redemption nominees by crediting at least one paid flight to Qatar Privilege Club — a new restriction that started in late June.

As a reminder, there are three tiers of pricing for Qatar Airways awards: Off-Peak, Peak, and Flexi (formerly known as Q2 awards). This discount applies to both Off-Peak and Peak awards, but not to Flexi, which will still cost double the regular Off-Peak price.

Here’s the list of eligible destinations, and how much one-way Off-Peak awards will cost with a 25% discount.

Business Class

The discounted price will be automatically reflected on the booking screen, along with a life-affirming “Nice choice!” pop-under.

In case you were worried, these discounted awards enjoy the same privileges as a regular award booking. If you redeem a discounted Business Class award, for example, you’re still eligible for lounge access in Doha and other airports, 40kg of checked baggage allowance, as well as priority check-in and boarding.

While Qatar Airways does sell Business Lite fares which don’t include lounge access or advance seat selection, this scourge hasn’t affected award redemptions — yet!

Discount applies to entire itinerary!

Even if you’re not interested in travelling to any of the cities featured in this month’s offer, you might still want to pay attention.

As spotted by Head for Points, so long as your itinerary starts or ends in one of the promotional cities, the 25% savings apply to the entire journey, even if your starting point or final destination isn’t part of the promotion.

And because Singapore is a promotional destination this month, this opens up the possibility of flying to practically anywhere in the Qatar Airways network in Economy for a 25% discount — provided Privilege Deals seats are available.

For example, London Heathrow is not one of the promotional destinations this month, but Singapore is. Therefore, I could book a Singapore-Doha-London Heathrow ticket and enjoy 25% off the itinerary, paying 28,125 Avios instead of the regular 37,500 Avios (the same pricing applies for any other destination in Europe).

The same logic works in reverse. I could fly from a non-promotion destination like San Francisco back to Singapore for 35,625 Avios, 25% less than the regular 47,500 Avios (the same pricing applies for any other destination in North America).

Basically, think of the rule like this: A > Doha > B. So long as A or B is one of the promotional cities, the entire A > Doha > B itinerary is discounted by 25%!

I cannot promise that literally every destination will be possible, but I’ve tried it with Rome, Los Angeles, New York, Toronto, Paris, Copenhagen and Milan, and the 25% discount shows just fine.

As an aside, 28,125 Avios from Singapore to Europe may sound like a good deal on the surface, but remember that Qatar Airways has annoying “award segment fees”, in lieu of fuel surcharges.

You will need to pay an additional US$90 on a Singapore-Doha-Europe itinerary, on top of the regular taxes and fees (it’s US$125 if you’re flying to the USA).

A direct flight on Singapore Airlines would cost 44,000 KrisFlyer miles, or 30,800 miles if you book it under Spontaneous Escapes. You would only need to pay the regular taxes and fees, and there would be no need to transit in the Middle East, where the situation remains volatile. 

Also, in case you were thinking of booking a Singapore-Doha-Bucharest/Larnaca itinerary and getting to Europe on Business Class on the cheap, Business Class award space between Singapore and Doha is virtually non-existent during the promotional travel period. 

Awards can be changed or cancelled

What’s great about this promotion is that discounted awards are still subject to the same change and cancellation rules as regular awards.

• More than 24 hours before departure: US$25 change or cancellation fee
• 3-24 hours before departure: US$100 change or cancellation fee
• <3 hours before departure: Changes or cancellations are not allowed

Change and cancellation fees are waived for Qatar Privilege Club Platinum and Gold tier members. 

Qatar Airways flight redemptions also include a so-called “award booking fee” that varies depending on distance, and can cost up to US$250 on a one-way booking. While this fee is described as “non-refundable”, in practice it’s still refunded should you cancel your booking.

How can I earn Qatar Privilege Club Avios?

If you need additional Avios to take advantage of this promotion, you can transfer points from Citi, HeyMax and HSBC.

Transfers from Citi

Citi Miles and ThankYou points can be converted into Qatar Avios at a 1:1 (Citi Miles) or 5:2 (ThankYou points) ratio, with a minimum conversion of 10,000 Avios.

Transfers usually take 2-3 working days to be processed, and a S$27.25 admin fee applies.

Transfers from HeyMax

1,000 Max Miles	1,000 Avios

HeyMax restored direct points transfers to Qatar Privilege Club in July 2025.

Max Miles can be converted into Qatar Avios at a 1:1 ratio, with a minimum conversion of 1,000 Avios. However, conversions can be in intervals of just 1 Avios after the first block of 1,000.

Transfers are completed instantly, and no fees apply.  

Transfers from HSBC

35,000 HSBC Points	10,000 Avios

HSBC Points can be converted into Qatar Avios at a 3.5:1 ratio, with a minimum conversion of 10,000 Avios.

However, you should not be doing this. 

Instead, it’s better to transfer HSBC Points to British Airways Club at a 2.5:1 ratio, and then transfer them to Qatar at a 1:1 ratio. This is possible because both are part of the Avios “currency union”, where Avios can be moved between participating programmes at parity, without any fees. 

Regardless of whether you transfer HSBC Points to Qatar Privilege Club or British Airways Club, transfers will be processed instantly, and are free of charge.

Conclusion

Qatar Airways has released its latest batch of Privilege Deals, which offer 25% off selected Business and Economy Class awards to selected cities. Singapore is one of the featured destinations this month, which opens up the possibility of a 25% discount to most destinations in the Qatar Airways network, albeit in Economy Class only.

I realise that most people won’t be comfortable with the idea of transiting through Doha in the current climate, but these discounted awards follow the same change and cancellation rules as regular ones, so you’ll only be on the hook for a US$25 cancellation fee if you ultimately decide not to travel.
