In December 2025, Kris+ retired its check-in challenge and replaced it with a new gift box mechanic. Instead of a boring, dependable 20 KrisPay miles per week, users could now win a daily prize ranging from 1-100 KrisPay miles. You can probably guess which end of that range most people landed on!
As part of its 6th anniversary celebrations, Kris+ is enhancing the gift box prizes for the month of October. The maximum prize is now 1,000 KrisPay miles (S$10), and various partner vouchers and promo codes have been added into the mix — though in many cases, I’d take even 1 KrisPay mile over these!

Kris+ Birthday Gift Box challenge
From 1-31 October 2026, Kris+ is offering “upsized prizes” for its daily gift box challenge, featuring reward miles and vouchers/promo codes.
Gift boxes can be found on the Kris+ app under the Challenges section, accessible from the shortcut icons at the top bar of the homepage. Kris+ users can open one gift box per day, with the allowance resetting at 12 a.m. SGT.
Reward miles
Gift boxes may contain reward miles of 1-1,000 KrisPay miles (instead of the usual 1-100 KrisPay miles). As a reminder, 1 KrisPay mile is worth S$0.01 ever since July 2025, so the prize is valued at S$0.01 to S$10, depending on your luck.
Miles will be credited instantly to your Kris+ wallet, and are valid for six months. They can only be spent on the Kris+ app; you won’t be able to convert these into KrisFlyer miles.
Vouchers & promo codes
Gift boxes may also contain vouchers and promo codes for use at Kris+ merchants.
Kris+ doesn’t provide a list of the possible vouchers and promo codes, but here’s what I’ve compiled from the community:
- 1-hour karaoke session at Rave Karaoke
- 40% off Spiegelau and Nachtmann glassware at Tott Store
- 15% off bill at HighHouse
- S$2 off S$10 with CDG Zig
- S$3 off S$10 with Kazo
- Complimentary crispy fish skin at Tung Lok Seafood
- 20% off Chicken Nanban at Aburi-En
Options may be added or removed as the month goes by, so if you come across anything interesting, do leave a comment!
All vouchers and promo codes must be redeemed by 30 November 2026. Many of these have minimum spend requirements, so they’re really more gimmicks than genuine prizes. Then again, you’re not paying anything to open a gift box, so what do you expect?
Any vouchers or promo codes will be credited to your Kris+ wallet within three business days.

Earn 8 mpd with Kris+ Birthday Bash
As a reminder, Kris+ is also running a Birthday Bash promotion for October 2026 that offers 8 mpd at 70 dining and retail merchants across Singapore, including Bee Cheng Hiang, Cedele, Haidilao and Tung Lok Seafood.
You can even earn the 8 mpd on voucher purchases, which could be a useful option if you’re going to be away this month, but still want to lock in some miles.

Conclusion
Kris+ is switching up its gift boxes for the month of October, with up to 1,000 KrisPay miles instead of the usual 100. However, you might also end up with a voucher or promo code instead, and most of them aren’t worth getting excited about.
As always, KrisPay miles earned from gift boxes can only be spent through the app, but with a minimum of just 10 KrisPay miles required for a transaction, orphan miles shouldn’t be a problem.
