Kris+ celebrates its 6th anniversary this month with a new edition of Birthday Bash, which offers 8 mpd at 70 dining and retail merchants across Singapore, including Bee Cheng Hiang, Cedele, Haidilao and Tung Lok Seafood.
It’s slightly less generous than the 9 mpd offered for the 2025 edition, but still an opportunity to earn up to 12 mpd when stacked with the right credit cards. Birthday Bash also offers discounted cash vouchers and additional savings on dining and shopping.

No registration is necessary, and there is no cap on the maximum miles you can earn under this promotion.

Which merchants get the biggest uplift?
Because the earn rate is a flat 8 mpd across all 70 merchants, the uplift for some merchants is better than others. The most lucrative merchants to visit for this promotion are the 15 which jump from 2 mpd to 8 mpd, including Haidilao, Lawry’s, ECCO, Canton Paradise and Kai Duck.

Voucher purchases count too
If you’re going to be away this month but want to lock in the miles, you can purchase discounted cash vouchers from any of the Birthday Bash merchants.
You’ll earn the same 8 mpd as you would have if you dined or shopped in person, and can redeem the vouchers after the Birthday Bash promotion period ends (though be sure to check the expiry dates before pulling the trigger!).
When browsing the voucher options, don’t get confused by the mileage figure. This refers to how much you’ll pay if you buy the voucher with miles, not how many miles you’ll earn from the purchase (8 mpd).

You might have noticed that the promo earn rate has dropped by 1 mpd each year since inception, but if it’s any consolation, this year’s list of participating merchants is the biggest yet.
Earning miles via Kris+
Earning miles at Kris+ merchants is simple. All you need to do is:
- Scan the merchant’s Kris+ QR code (which is now part of SGQR)
- Enter the amount to be paid, and press “Pay” to pay via Apple/Google Pay
Miles will be credited immediately upon completing the transaction, which makes Kris+ an excellent way of topping up a KrisFlyer balance.
Don’t forget to transfer any KrisPay miles earned to KrisFlyer within 21 days of the transaction, in their entirety. If you wait longer than 21 days, or spend any of the accrued miles, the balance will be stuck in Kris+. Miles in Kris+ expire after six months, and can only be spent at a rate of 100 miles = S$1.
A big “Transfer to KrisFlyer” button appears after every transaction. Alternatively, you can turn on the new auto-transfer feature, which will automatically deposit any miles earned from Kris+ into your KrisFlyer account.
What card should I use to pay?
Kris+ transactions code as online spend, and generally retain the same MCC as the underlying merchant (with some limited exceptions).
The following cards are the safest to use, as they’re MCC-agnostic. So long as you transact on Kris+, you’ll earn up to 4 mpd, on top of the Kris+ miles.
