Kris+ users who frequently shop or dine at CapitaLand malls will be pleased to know that it’s now possible to double-dip on Kris+ miles and CapitaStar STAR$. That’s thanks to a new partnership that enables transactions to be properly tracked across both platforms, once you’ve linked your accounts.
Prior to this, you had to pick one or the other. If you wanted to earn STAR$, you were limited to paying with a method that CapitaStar could track, such as a linked Mastercard or ShopBack Pay, which ruled out paying with Kris+.
STAR$ offer a modest rebate at best, but now that they’re in addition to Kris+ miles, there’s no reason not to collect them.
To mark the launch, Kris+ users will get a S$15 rebate when they spend at least S$150 in a single transaction at participating CapitaLand malls, plus 10X bonus STAR$ throughout October.
Double dip on Kris+ miles and STAR$

Kris+ has partnered with CapitaStar to give users more opportunities to earn rewards on their everyday shopping and dining at participating CapitaStar properties.
Users who link their CapitaStar and Kris+ accounts will earn both STAR$ and miles on transactions at participating merchants across CapitaLand’s network.
“Our partnership with CapitaStar is another way to offer even more value for our users, who can look forward to more exciting and rewarding opportunities in the future.”
— Dai Haoyu, SVP Marketing Planning at SIA
The most important thing to remember is that only Kris+ payments of at least S$20 will earn STAR$ (Kris+ has no minimum payment to earn miles).
This is the same minimum spend as other linked payment methods such as Mastercard, DBS PayLah!, DBS/POSB cards or ShopBack Pay, so in that respect, you’re no worse off for having chosen Kris+. The only payment method with a lower minimum spend to earn STAR$ is eCapitaVouchers (S$10).

How to link your accounts
Kris+ and CapitaStar accounts must be linked before you make a payment. You won’t be able to claim any STAR$ for transactions performed before linking.
To link your Kris+ and CapitaStar accounts, open the CapitaStar app and locate your 15-digit member ID by tapping on the profile icon at the top left, then on your name.

Copy the member ID, then open the Kris+ app and go to Account > Linked Accounts. Select the CapitaStar option and complete the linking by entering your member ID.

Each CapitaStar account can only be linked to one Kris+ account at a time.
Launch promotions
To mark the launch of the Kris+ and CapitaStar partnership, Kris+ users can earn a S$15 Kris+ rebate and 10X bonus STAR$ in October 2026.
S$15 Kris+ rebate

From 1-31 October 2026, Kris+ users will earn 1,500 KrisPay miles (S$15) when they spend at least S$150 in a single transaction at a Kris+ partner in a participating CapitaStar property.
You’ll need to activate the Oct’26 CapitaStar Rebates challenge in the Kris+ app to receive the reward — but if you forgot to do it before spending, don’t worry. You will still receive the reward, so long as you start the challenge before the promotion period ends.

Here are the key terms to note:
- Capped at one reward per user
- Capped at 1,000 rewards overall
- The 1,500 KrisPay miles cannot be transferred to KrisFlyer
- Does not include Kris+ merchants in ION Orchard, Paragon and Jewel Changi Airport
The T&Cs of this rebate can be found here.
10X bonus STAR$

From 1-31 October 2026, CapitaStar is offering 10X bonus STAR$, on top of the base STAR$, for any transaction of at least S$80 with any linked payment method including Kris+.
Here are the key terms to note:
- Limited to one reward per member, per mall, per day
- Capped at 15,000 bonus STAR$ (beyond the daily STAR$ cap of 5,000)
- Each mall has a limited redemption cap that ranges from 150 to 3,000 redemptions
- Excludes supermarkets and hypermarkets
The T&Cs of this offer — and redemption caps by property — can be found here.
The base earn rate for most merchants is 5 STAR$ per S$1, so a S$100 transaction would earn 500 base STAR$ plus 5,000 bonus STAR$, which is equivalent to a 5.5% rebate, before accounting for the value of Kris+ miles.

The three notable exclusions are ION Orchard, Paragon and Jewel Changi Airport. While all three accept eCapitaVouchers, they’re a bit weird when it comes to earning STAR$.
Purchases at ION Orchard and Paragon are ineligible to earn STAR$, while Jewel permits it under its “double rewards” tie-up with Changi Rewards.
To find a list of Kris+ merchants within CapitaLand malls, visit this page, scroll down to 2. Participating Properties & Stores, then click on the relevant mall.
Do note that you cannot search for stores using the CapitaMalls “omnidirectory”, which lists all 1,500+ stores across its mall empire. The filter feature here is broken, and shows 0 listings.

Instead, you’ll have to filter for a specific mall first, then add the Earn STAR$ with Kris+ filter for results to appear.
What can you do with STAR$?
STAR$ have a fixed value of 0.1 cents each when redeemed for eCapitaVouchers.
- 5,000 STAR$ = S$5 eCapitaVoucher
- 10,000 STAR$ = S$10 eCapitaVoucher
- 50,000 STAR$ = S$50 eCapitaVoucher
However, you can also use STAR$ to offset purchases directly at the cashier at the same rate, with no fixed denominations. eCapitaVouchers, in any case, are more similar to digital credits in that you can spend them across one or more transactions (for example, a S$50 eCapitaVoucher could be spent across three separate transactions of S$10.15, S$10.55 and S$29.30).
STAR$ can also be converted to KrisFlyer miles, ever since April 2021.

Viewed this way, a merchant offering 5 STAR$ per S$1 is effectively offering an extra 0.20 mpd, on top of Kris+ and credit card miles.
However, redeeming STAR$ for KrisFlyer miles is equivalent to buying miles at 2.5 cents each — way too expensive for most people. You’re better off spending them at CapitaLand malls.
Earning miles via Kris+

Earning miles at Kris+ merchants is simple. All you need to do is:
- Scan the merchant’s Kris+ QR code (which is now part of SGQR)
- Enter the amount to be paid, and press “Pay” to pay via Apple/Google Pay
Miles will be credited immediately upon completing the transaction, which makes Kris+ an excellent way of topping up a KrisFlyer balance.
Don’t forget to transfer any KrisPay miles earned to KrisFlyer within 21 days of the transaction, in their entirety. If you wait longer than 21 days, or spend any of the accrued miles, the balance will be stuck in Kris+. Miles in Kris+ expire after six months, and can only be spent at a rate of 100 miles = S$1.

A big “Transfer to KrisFlyer” button appears after every transaction. Alternatively, you can turn on the new auto-transfer feature, which will automatically deposit any miles earned from Kris+ into your KrisFlyer account.
What card should I use to pay?
Kris+ transactions code as online spend, and generally retain the same MCC as the underlying merchant (with some limited exceptions).
The following cards are the safest to use, as they’re MCC-agnostic. So long as you transact on Kris+, you’ll earn up to 4 mpd, on top of the Kris+ miles.

Conclusion
It’s now possible to double-dip on miles and STAR$ at Kris+ merchants located within CapitaLand malls across Singapore.
With most merchants offering 5 STAR$ per S$1, it’s an incremental rebate of 0.5% — hardly life-changing. Still, there’s really no reason not to link your accounts, since it’s on top of whatever miles you earn from Kris+.
If you act quickly, you can take advantage of a very nice S$15 rebate on a single spend of S$150 or more, as well as 10X bonus STAR$ for the month of October.
