InterContinental 12.12 deals: 40% off dining vouchers, S$250 nett rooms (with breakfast & S$50 F&B credit)

From now till 14 December 2020, get discounts on rooms and dining during InterContinental Singapore's 12.12 sale.

To mark 12.12, InterContinental Singapore (aka InterContinental Bugis– not to be confused with the one at Robertson Quay) is offering some very attractive room and dining deals, available for purchase up till 14 December 2020.

The following deals are available for purchase until end of day on 14 December 2020. They must be purchased directly through InterContinental’s dedicated landing page, and hence are not eligible for SingapoRediscovers vouchers.

Rooms at S$250 nett

InterContinental Singapore Deluxe Room
InterContinental Singapore Deluxe Room

InterContinental Singapore is selling the following room package for S$250 nett:

  • 1 night stay in Deluxe Room
  • Breakfast for two
  • S$50 F&B credit (for use at Ash & Elm, Man Fu Yuan and The Lobby Lounge)

This is valid for stays between 2 January to 31 March 2021, and I’m seeing both weekends and weekdays wide open (with the exception of 11-14 February, Valentine’s Day weekend). You’ll need to specify the date you wish to stay at the time of purchase, and bookings cannot be modified or refunded.

While the T&C don’t state this explicitly, there is a field for you to enter your IHG Rewards Club number so I assume you’ll earn IHG elite nights and points as per normal (unlike the Suite Surprise package earlier this year).

I did a cursory scan of rates during this period and saw that they range from S$235-S$275 nett for just the room, so I’d say this is a very good deal.

Up to 40% off dining vouchers

InterContinental Singapore is selling two different dining vouchers, which are valid for use from 11 December 2020 to 31 January 2021:

  • Pay S$350 for a S$500 dining voucher (30% off)
  • Pay S$600 for a S$1,000 dining voucher (40% off)

Vouchers are valid for use at Ash & Elm, Man Fu Yuan and The Lobby Lounge. A maximum of one voucher may be used per transaction, and reservations are required prior to use. Email the hotel at intercontinental.dining@ihg.com with your voucher code.

New Year’s Eve/Day set meals at Ash & Elm

For those who want to ring in the New Year in style, InterContinental Singapore is offering two different set meals at Ash & Elm:

  • New Year’s Eve Dinner for 2 at Ash & Elm for S$221 (UP: S$276)
  • New Year’s Day Set Lunch for 2 at Ash & Elm for S$173 (UP: S$216)

Both vouchers also have an option for three guests, pro-rated accordingly. Reservations are required prior to use. Email the hotel at intercontinental.dining@ihg.com with your voucher code.

I dined at Ash & Elm previously and thought the food was excellent, so I don’t think you’ll be disappointed at what they serve up.

Conclusion

I stayed at the InterContinental Singapore back in October under the Suite Surprise package, which thanks to the TravelSpark sale (now over) cost me just S$280. I ended up getting a huge Ambassador Suite (you spin a wheel at check-in to determine your suite assignment, hence the “surprise”), and found that breakfast and service were of very high quality.

This 12.12 deal prices out the same as that at the Westin, but I’d say the InterContinental represents a better deal for those who don’t have elite status (because breakfast is included). If you hold Platinum status or higher with Marriott, the Westin would be the better choice.

That said, both hotels have a very different vibe- the InterContinental is for heritage-seekers; the Westin is for modern luxury. If a bathtub is important, I’d pick the Westin for sure (all rooms at the Westin have tubs), as I found the bathtubs at the InterContinental to be old and cramped.
