This 12.12 rate can be booked on 12 December 2020 only, with stays from 2 January to 31 March 2021. It comes with the following inclusions:

  • 50% off room rate
  • Daily breakfast for two
  • 20% off dining at 15 Stamford and restaurants in the Arcade @ Capitol Kempinski
  • Guaranteed 3 p.m check-out for Sunday to Thursday check-outs
  • Free parking

This applies to all categories of rooms and suites (except the Bidwell and Heritage suites); here’s the lowest pricing I found for each category:

  Size Nightly Rate
Classic Room 32 sqm S$240++
(S$282 nett)
Deluxe Room 45 sqm S$265++
(S$312 nett)
Heritage Room 45 sqm S$290++
(S$341 nett)
Grand Deluxe Room 50 sqm S$315++
(S$371 nett)
Terrace Room 45 sqm S$340++
(S$400 nett)
Executive Suite 55 sqm S$415++
(S$488 nett)
Stamford Suite 58-61 sqm S$515++
(S$606 nett)

The 12.12 rate should automatically appear when you search through this page. Do note that all bookings are non-refundable, so be sure to verify your plans before pulling the trigger.

GHA Black benefits will of course apply to these bookings, although do note that lounge access is only available to those who book a Stamford Suite or higher category.

For those looking at suites, the just-ended Super Special Staycation package was better. Nightly rates for a Stamford Suite started at S$623 nett (with a min. 2 night stay) with breakfast, but there was also a S$100 F&B credit included. That sale didn’t cover regular rooms though, so those who just want the basics will find good value here.

Kempinski’s saltwater swimming pool and gym have reopened

For the longest time, the Capitol Kempinski’s saltwater pool has been undergoing refurbishments. Guests who wanted to swim were redirected to a penthouse at the neighboring Eden Residences, which isn’t so much a pool as it is an outdoor jacuzzi. It’s definitely not the kind of place you’d want to share with strangers.

The good news is that Kempinski’s outdoor saltwater pool has reopened. It’s not the largest of pools, but it certainly offers a much nicer environment than an unfurnished penthouse.

Similarly, the hotel’s gym is now operating once more, a marked improvement over the previous temporary facility.

Facility reservations can be made with the front office upon arrival, or 48-hours before arriving via guestservices.singapore@kempinski.com

Conclusion

While there’s a two night minimum, a breakfast-included rate of S$282 nett for the Capitol Kempinski is well worth considering.

Do note that since these rates must be booked on the Kempinski’s official website, you will not be able to use your SingapoRediscovers vouchers for payment.
