Earn 4 mpd on Disney+ subscriptions with OCBC credit cards

From now till 31 March 2021, earn 4 mpd on Disney+ subscriptions with the OCBC 90°N, Premier Visa Infinite and VOYAGE Card.

Disney+ is all set to launch in Singapore from 23 February 2021, and on cue, OCBC has lined up a 4 mpd promotion for its 90°N, Premier Visa Infinite, and VOYAGE cards.

Cardholders may have received the following SMS (I’m showing the one for the 90°N below):

<ADV> OCBC 90.N Card: Upsized rewards! Get 4 Travel$ (usually 1.2 Travel$) for every S$1 spent on your Disney+ subscription if you sign up between 23 February and 31 March 2021. You must be one of the first 3,000 customers to charge the subscription to your Card. Visit bit.ly/90NDISNEY for details and T&Cs. Questions? Call 1800 363 3333. To unsub, SMS unsub to 72377

This is not a targeted offer, however, and registration is not required.

Earn 4 mpd on Disney+ subscriptions with OCBC cards

OCBC’s Disney+ offer runs from 23 February to 31 March 2021 (both dates inclusive). Cardholders will earn the equivalent of 4 mpd on Disney+ transactions made during this period, regardless of whether it’s a single month subscription (S$11.98/month) or an annual subscription (S$119.98/year).

Since the 4 mpd offer is only available for a limited time, it’s probably a better idea to sign up for the annual subscription, assuming you see yourself as a Disney+ subscriber for the long haul.

All cards will receive their usual base earn rate first (e.g 1.2 mpd for the 90°N), with the bonus component credited within 2 months after the transaction posts.

There’s also no “limit one per cardholder” clause, so you could sign up for a subscription and help a friend pay for his/hers too, enjoying 4 mpd on both transactions. Only the 90°N Card has a cap of 3,000 cardmembers; there is no cap for the Premier Visa Infinite or VOYAGE.

Various telecommunication or internet service providers may launch their own Disney+ subscriptions in the days and weeks to come, but the OCBC offer only applies to subscrpitions made directly with Disney+.

Conclusion

While I’m sure you’ll also be able to earn 4 mpd on Disney+ with the DBS Woman’s World Card and Citi Rewards, it’s nice to have this separate promotion to save the 10X cap with those two cards.

I’ve been eagerly looking forward to the launch of Disney+, and I’ll do a separate post tomorrow on the subscription options, content and other cards you can use.
