GHA Discovery extends double elite nights till September 2021

Register and earn double elite nights at all GHA DISCOVERY properties up till 30 September 2021.

At the start of 2021, GHA’s DISCOVERY loyalty program launched an offer allowing registered members to earn double elite nights for stays between 1 January to 31 March 2021. This has now been extended to cover all stays up to and including 30 September 2021.

GHA Double Nights Offer

All stays must be booked through the hotel’s official website or GHA booking channels to be eligible; stays booked through third party sites like Klook or Trip.com will not qualify for elite nights.

Once registered, any stay between 1 January and 30 September 2021 will automatically earn double elite night credits, with no cap on the maximum that can be earned.

Fortunately, there’s no need to worry about requalification, at least for now. At the start of the year, GHA DISCOVERY extended Black and Platinum status till 31 December 2022, regardless of stay activity in 2020. It’s quite incredible how generous they are with extensions; I first obtained GHA Black in 2017 by virtue of my (long gone) Citi Prestige card, and I’ve never once had to “legitimately” requalify.

Since requalification isn’t an immediate concern, the best use of this promotion would be to qualify for GHA Black. This normally requires 30 nights in a calendar year, but gets cut to just 15 with the double elite nights offer.

GHA Black rewards you with perks like 9 a.m check-in and 6 p.m check-out (which, in my experience, is honored quite regularly), as well as room upgrades.

Do note the T&Cs for this offer below:

GHA DISCOVERY’s recent status extension has taken the pressure off requalification this year, so the main use case for the double elite nights promotion is for moving up a tier. As a reminder, AMEX Platinum Charge cardholders can get complimentary GHA Platinum status, so they can enjoy some benefits while earning their way up the chain.

Registration takes all of five seconds, so be sure to do so prior to any staycations you have.

If I use LHW or Virtuoso to book and include my GHA membership ID in the booking, will this get double nights?

No luck getting 3pm late check out with platinum member… Marriott Platinum in this area does way better with guaranteed 4pm late check out and lounge (breakfast) access….

Do you think they will extend to 2023 if we hit requalification in 2021? Hmm I’m halfway there
