With the return to Phase 2 (Heightened Alert) conditions, dining-in has been suspended until 18 August 2021 at the earliest.
For those tired of cooking and looking to treat themselves to something special, hotels have rolled out various discounts for takeaways and delivery. In this post, I’ll summarize the options available, and how to earn points on your orders.

From 22 July to 31 August 2021, Accor Live Limitless (ALL) and Accor Plus (A+) members can save up to 30% and earn 3X points for takeaway orders from participating restaurants.
Discounts for members of the free-to-join ALL program range from 10-20%, while members of the accorplus.com receive 20-30% off. Both will earn points at a rate of €1 (~S$1.63) = 3 Reward points. 2,000 ALL points can be redeemed for 40 Euros off a hotel stay, so 3X points on dining represents a 6% rebate.

Hilton Singapore is extending the ongoing Dine Like A Member promo to takeaways from Opus Bar & Grill, with discounts of 10% for Base and Silver and 25% for Gold and Diamond. Members will also earn a flat bonus of 500 points with a minimum spend of US$25 (~S$35). This works out to about a 10% rebate, assuming you spend US$25 on the dot.
Alternatively, Hilton is offering the general public a 25% discount for self-pick-up orders between 12 and 5p.m daily. Orders must be placed at least 1 hour in advance.
Conrad Centennial is offering 15% off takeaway and delivery orders made through its Connoisseur website with the code STAYHOME15, except for Any Day Any Time Oscar’s at Home (i.e. set menus; the rest of Oscar’s menu is eligible), Golden Peony National Day Takeaway Set Menu and Big Boyz Gin Kit.
Hilton members can also apply the Dine Like a Member promo, but will need to call up the hotel to place their orders (and pay upon collection).

IHG’s year-long 20% discount on dining for IHG Rewards Club members has now been extended to takeaways as well. Members also earn 250 points per US$25 (~S$35) spent, which roughly works out to a 5% rebate assuming you spend US$25 on the dot.
While I’ve linked to the hotel ordering sites below, they haven’t created a promo code for this offer so you’ll need to call and place your orders over the phone.

Do note that some properties seem unaware that this offer now applies to takeaways, so be prepared to stand your ground. For example, the first associate I called at InterContinental Singapore insisted the offer was for dine-in only, but her superior later called back to confirm it was valid for takeaways.

Pan Pacific Hotels Group

Members of the DISCOVERY program are entitled to a 15-25% discount on takeaway items at any Pan Pacific Hotels Group property (i.e. Pan Pacific, PR Beach Road, PR Kitchener, PR COLLECTION Pickering, PR COLLECTION Marina Bay).
To take advantage of this discount, you’ll need to make your take-away order directly at the hotel.
If you order online via Oddle, you’ll be entitled to 15% off with a minimum spend of S$100 at Pan Pacific, or 10% off at PARKROYAL Beach Road (valid only for self-pickups, in which case you might as well use the DISCOVERY discount).

Shangri-La Singapore (the one in Orchard) is offering a Shangri-La at Home promotion, with 15% off all a la carte menu items from its five restaurants. Unfortunately, Shangri-La Golden Circle does not allow members to earn points on F&B when they’re not staying at the hotel.

Conclusion
Hotel restaurants won’t be the cheapest takeaway option, but these discounts will take some sting out of the cost. Since it’s unclear whether these will code as hotel or dining transactions, the safest option is to use the DBS Woman’s World Card or HSBC Revolution to earn 4 mpd.
Remember: you’ll need to order directly with the hotels or through their Oddle page to enjoy these discounts; they won’t apply if you order through a third party service like Deliveroo or foodpanda.
