IHG One Rewards offering 3,000 bonus points per 2-night stay

IHG One Rewards has launched a new targeted offer that offers 3,000 bonus points for every stay of two nights, up to a maximum of 9,000 bonus points. 

For avoidance of doubt, this is not IHG One Reward’s next global promotion for Q1 2023. Global promotions are not targeted, and we’re still waiting to hear more details on that. The current global promotion which offers up to 10,000 points per four nights lapses on 31 December 2022.

Get 3,000 bonus points per 2-night stay

Registration Link

Eligible members will have received a email inviting them to register and participate. Once registered, they’ll earn 3,000 bonus points per 2-night stay between 1 January to 8 February 2023. 

• First stay (nights 1-2): 3,000 bonus points
• Second stay (nights 3-4): 3,000 bonus points
• Third stay (nights 5-6): 3,000 bonus points

A maximum of 9,000 bonus points can be earned under this offer. All room nights outside the offer period are not included, so if your second night comes after 8 February 2023, it won’t be eligible for the bonus. 

Your room rate must be a minimum of US$30 or the local equivalent, and stays booked using rewards nights or points & cash are not eligible for this offer. Bonus points will post within six weeks of an eligible stay. 

1 IHG point is worth roughly 0.5 US cents, so this promotion is like receiving an incremental US$15 every two nights. 

As a reminder, here’s how many points IHG One Rewards members normally earn, depending on their tier. These will be granted on top of any bonuses from this promotion. 

Stack with other IHG One offers

IHG One has been pushing out offers left and right of late, which means that some members could be looking at quite the windfall on an upcoming stay.

For instance, I’m personally registered for the following offers:

• Stay 2 nights, earn 3,000 bonus points
• Stay 2 nights, earn 20,000 bonus points (the IHG Ambassador joining offer; I bought a membership to extend my complimentary Diamond status by a further year)
• Book a stay via the app and get 3,000 bonus points

Therefore, I’m looking at a total of 26,000 bonus points on my next 2-night stay, which is a pretty handy return all things considered. This would be even sweeter had I booked a stay during the IHG Cyber Monday sale, which gives 10,000 bonus points per 2-nights stay.
