❓ What are KrisFlyer Experiences?

KrisFlyer Experiences launched in January 2020, allowing members to redeem their KrisFlyer miles for money-can’t-buy experiences. Past experiences have included F1 Sky Suites, a chartered Points Plane to Langkawi, and a KrisFlyer cruise-to-nowhere. KrisFlyer Experiences can be redeemed for the member or his/her friends and family. They are non-refundable once redeemed.

New KrisFlyer Experiences: EPL/UCL/UEL Hospitality Packages

KrisFlyer Experiences has launched a series of hospitality packages for 2022/23 or 2023/24 English Premier League (EPL), UEFA Champions League (UCL) and UEFA Europa League (UEL) matches (the absence of the prestigious and in no way a waste of time UEFA Conference League is disappointing beyond words).

These are available for the following teams:

• Arsenal FC
• Chelsea FC
• Liverpool FC
• Manchester City FC
• Manchester United FC
• Tottenham Hotspur FC

Packages are fulfilled by Match Day Central, and start from 185,000 miles per person.

You can redeem as many packages as you wish, but all packages redeemed are strictly non-refundable.

Packages do not include flights. You’ll need to find your own way to London or Manchester (or Liverpool, I suppose, though it’s pretty much the same as Manchester innit?(edgy today, aren’t we?)).

Singapore Airlines currently operates 4X daily flights to London and 4X weekly flights to Manchester. One-way Saver redemptions will cost:

• Economy: 42,000 miles
• Premium Economy: 71,000 miles
• Business: 103,500 miles
• First/Suites: 141,000 miles

Redemption process

Members will receive a confirmation email after a successful redemption. They’ll then need to email orders@matchdaycentral.com with the confirmation eDM, last four digits of their KrisFlyer membership number, and details of the match they wish to attend.

All requests must be made at least four weeks before match day, and at the risk of stating the obvious (Tottenham fans might be reading this, after all), are only valid for home games. 

Your package must be used by 19 May 2024. 

Is it worth it?

Hospitality packages can be bought with money, so we can get a rough benchmark of how much value you’re getting per mile. Based on hospitality packages listed on Arsenal and Chelsea’s websites, I reckon you get slightly over 1 cent per mile. 

That’s probably not the best use of miles, but I suppose if you have more miles than you know how to spend, this might be a way to use them for a very memorable experience.

Conclusion

The latest batch of KrisFlyer Experiences offers hospitality packages for top English football teams (and Tottenham) for the current and upcoming EPL, UCL and UEL seasons. 

You will need to arrange your own trip to the UK, and the value per mile isn’t all that fantastic, but it’s good that KrisFlyer Experiences is thinking more and more global now that travel has resumed.
