Hilton Multiply Your Points: Earn up to 3X points on hotel stays

Hilton Honors has announced the details of its next global promotion called Multiply Your Points. This begins as soon as the current Resort to More Points promotion ends on 5 September 2023, and means there’ll be no gap in-between promotions.

Under the Multiply Your Points promotion, registered Hilton Honors members will earn:

• 3X points at selected properties
• 2X points at all other properties

This is valid for stays between 6 September to 31 December 2023. 

Registered members checking in before 6 September 2023 will receive credit for their stay if the stay is completed on or after 6 September 2023 and prior to or on 31 December 2023.  If you start a stay in the middle of the promotion period and check-out after 31 December 2023, you will not receive the bonus.

Do note the following:

• Registration is required, and must be done prior to starting your first eligible stay (it’s fine if you booked your stays prior to registration)
• There is no cap on the maximum bonus points you can earn
• Bonus points will also be granted to award stays, though you’ll only be earning points on incidental spend like F&B or spa treatments
• All bonus points will post within 6-8 weeks 

The list of 3X properties is actually fairly extensive; I count more than 1,500 options on this list, including popular options like Conrad Bangkok, Conrad Osaka, DoubleTree Kuala Lumpur and Waldorf Astoria Bangkok.

How many points will you earn?

Hilton members usually earn 10-20 points per US$1, depending on tier. With the bonus, you’re looking at 20-40 points per US$1, depending on tier and whether the property in question offers a 2X or 3X bonus.

1 Hilton point is worth about 0.5 US cents, so members can earn a rebate of 10-20% on spending, depending on tier.

How does this promotion compare to the current one?

For perspective, Hilton’s current Resort to More Points promotion offers registered Hilton Honors members: 

• 4,000 bonus points for each stay at a participating resort
• 2,000 bonus points for each stay at any other property

Unless you typically redeem points for award stays, I’d say the upcoming promotion is much better than the current one.

If nothing else, it’s good to see that Hilton is running back-to-back promotions, with no gaps in-between.

Conclusion

Hilton’s Q4 2023 promotion offers 2-3X points for stays between 6 September to 31 December 2023, with no cap on the maximum bonus that can be earned. With a long list of properties on the 3X list, it’s worth seeing whether you’ll be crossing paths with a Hilton during your upcoming travels.
