American Express has launched a new AMEX Offer for Hilton Hotels, which offers registered cardholders a S$60 statement credit with a minimum spend of S$300.ย
This joins an already-impressive line up of hotel offers for Hyatt, IHG, Marriott, Millennium Hotels, Pan Pacific, Mandarin Oriental and Shangri-La.
Registration is required, and can be done via the AMEX Offers portal.ย
Do note that at the time of writing, I’m only able to see the offer on the desktop portal and not the mobile app, and only on my AMEX HighFlyer Card (others have reported seeing the offer on their AMEX Platinum Charge or AMEX True Cashback Card, but only for one card). This is possibly just a rollout bug, so I’d recommend monitoring the portal throughout the day to see if it appears on more cards.ย
โ What are AMEX Offers? |
AMEX Offers are opportunities to earn bonus miles/points, or statement credits. These can be found in the โOffersโ section of the AMEX app or web portal.ย Registration is required, and some offers may be targeted. These are not applicable to DBS/Citi/UOB AMEX cardholders.ย |
Get S$60 back on S$300 Hilton spend
Here’s the key details to take note of:
- Cardholders must spend at least S$300 in one or more transactions to trigger the credit
- All spend must be made in-person
- Payments must be made by 11 December 2023
- Registration is capped at 20,000 cards
- The offer can only be used once per registered card
- Excludes payments made for events, meetings, conferences, banquets and/or wedding packages
Do note that theย paymentย must be made by 11 December 2023 to be eligible for this offer. If your check-in date is before 11 December 2023 but your check-out date is after, I’d recommend asking the front desk to charge your card in full at the time of check-in.
This offer is valid at participating Hilton locations within Australia, Hong Kong, New Zealand and Singapore. Do refer to the document for the exact list of participating restaurants, bars & spas because I won’t be able to fit it into the table below.

Eligible spending includes room charges, dining and spa treatments.
One interesting way of stretching this offer might be to take advantage of Dine Like a Member, which offers up to 25% off the food bill at participating restaurants. For example, I could dine at Estate (Hilton Singapore Orchard) as a Hilton Gold/Diamond:
- If I spend S$337 on F&B, Dine Like a Member reduces the payable amount to S$252.75 (25% off)
- A S$252.75 F&B bill becomes S$300.27 after adding 10% service charge and 8% GST
- This is sufficient to trigger the S$60 credit, which means I’ll pay S$240.27 in total- an overall discount of about 40%!
Remember: all that matters is the nett amount charged to your registered AMEX card.ย Statement credits will post to your account within 15 business days, but are usually done much faster.ย
Other AMEX hotel credit offers
In addition to the Hilton offer, American Express is currently offering the following statement credits with other hotel chains:

Conclusion
American Express cardholders can now register for a S$60 statement credit with a minimum spend of S$300 at a participating Hilton Hotel by 11 December 2023. Even if you don’t have travel plans, this offer can come in useful for a night out with the family at one of the participating restaurants.
At the moment, it seems like the offer is only available on one AMEX card per customer, but if it opens up later there’s nothing stopping you from registering multiple cards to enjoy the offer as many times as you have cards.
Question – if we spend in FCY, does the FCY 2.95/3.25% count towards triggering the $300 spend?
Hahahh (337-240) / 337 = ~30%!
you’re forgetting that the $337 is before ++. your bill is supposed to be $400, but you pay S$240.
Ooo yeah you’re right. Guess I’m still just a mile donkey
