Kris+ has launched a limited-time promotion for Harvey Norman, which doubles the earn rate to 2 mpd from the usual 1 mpd.
It’s a far cry from the 4 mpd that Kris+ users enjoyed prior to May 2023, but if you’re looking to buy the latest iPhone, laptop, gaming console or maybe some furniture, it’s still an improvement on the status quo.
What’s more, you could stack an extra 4 mpd with the right credit card, for an overall earn rate of 6 mpd.

Earn 2 mpd with Kris+ at Harvey Norman
From 21 March to 1 April 2024, Kris+ is offering 2 miles for every S$1 spent at Harvey Norman. There is no minimum spend required, and no cap on the maximum miles that can be earned.
The offer will automatically appear in the Kris+ app, with no registration required. Kris+ can be used to pay for all Harvey Norman purchases, except vouchers.
All 12 Harvey Norman stores islandwide are participating in the offer:
- Bukit Panjang Plaza
- ESR BizPark Chai Chee
- Hougang Mall
- Jurong Point
- Millennia Walk
- Northpoint
- Parkway Parade Superstore
- Seletar Mall
- Suntec City
- The Centrepoint
- Westgate
- Westmall
As always, don’t forget to transfer any miles earned via Kris+ to KrisFlyer within seven days of the transaction, in their entirety.
If you spend any of those miles via Kris+, or wait beyond seven days, the entire amount will be stuck in Kris+. Miles in Kris+ expire after six months, and can only be spent at a rather dismal rate of 150 miles = S$1.

Harvey Norman transactions will code as MCC 5732 Electronics Stores, so you can use the following cards to maximise your miles.

Unfortunately, MCC 5732 does not fall under any bonus category for the UOB Lady’s Card, so you won’t be able to take advantage of the upsized 6 mpd earn rate.
If you’re making a big-ticket purchase that would max out the bonus cap on 4 mpd cards, I’d recommend using the KrisFlyer UOB Credit Card instead for an uncapped 3 mpd.

There are a few scattered data points that certain Harvey Norman stores code as MCC 5712 (Furniture & Home Furnishings). I’ve not encountered this myself, but if that’s true, you wouldn’t be able to use Kris+ with the HSBC Revolution and UOB Preferred Platinum Visa Card (though if you tap your mobile phone and pay in-store you’re fine because that falls under the offline whitelist mode). When in doubt, check the MCC before carrying out any transaction. |

Conclusion
Kris+ users can now earn an extra 2 mpd at any of Harvey Norman’s 12 outlets up till 1 April 2024, on top of their credit card miles. It’s not quite the heyday of pre-May 2023, but it’s the best you can manage at the moment.
Remember that you can use Kris+ to earn some extra Elite miles or PPS Value during this period too, which can help put you over the finish line for requalification.
Not that big a deal, but just a comment that I found this headline extra clickbaity somehow… maybe because the ‘Kris+ offering 6mpd” idea isn’t technically accurate. Kris+ offers 2mpd; the other 4mpd comes from your bank.
