If you’re in the market for Apple products, Kris+ has launched a new promotion for iStudio, which doubles the earn rate to 2 mpd until 5 May 2024.
Kris+ veterans will remember that iStudio once upon a time earned 3 mpd by default, but that’s not been the case since May 2023 when it was cut to the current 1 mpd. For what it’s worth, you can still stack an extra 4 mpd with the right credit card, for an overall earn rate of 6 mpd.

Earn 2 mpd with Kris+ at iStudio
From 17 April to 5 May 2024, Kris+ is offering 2 miles for every S$1 spent at iStudio. There is no minimum spend required, and no cap on the maximum miles that can be earned.
The offer will automatically appear in the Kris+ app, with no registration required. It is valid at all 23 iStudio stores across Singapore, including all four terminals of Changi Airport. You must pay with Kris+ in-store to qualify for this promotion; online purchases are not eligible.
As always, don’t forget to transfer any miles earned via Kris+ to KrisFlyer within seven days of the transaction, in their entirety.
If you spend any of those miles via Kris+, or wait beyond seven days, the balance will be stuck in Kris+. Miles in Kris+ expire after six months, and can only be spent at a rather dismal rate of 150 miles = S$1.
A big “Transfer to KrisFlyer” button appears after every transaction, so there’s no excuse!
50,000 miles lucky draw
iStudio’s Changi Airport T2 location is now an Apple Premium Partner store, and to mark the occasion, iStudio is offering a 50,000 miles lucky draw, which is enough for a round-trip Singapore Airlines Business Class award to Phuket.
To participate, you must use Kris+ to pay. Every purchase of at least S$100 at iStudio @ Terminal 2 earns 1x chance, and customers are not permitted to split the purchase of a single item into multiple transactions.
Miles will be credited directly into the winners Kris+ wallet, and can be transferred to KrisFlyer within seven days of the date of crediting.

iStudio transactions will code as MCC 5732 Electronics Stores, so you can use the following cards to maximise your miles.

If you’re making a big-ticket purchase that would max out the bonus cap on 4 mpd cards, I’d recommend using the KrisFlyer UOB Credit Card instead for an uncapped 3 mpd.

Status credits earned via Kris+ will post instantly (unless you visit Pelago via Kris+, in which case they’ll be credited within 14 days after 4 June 2024).

Conclusion
Kris+ users can now earn an extra 2 mpd at any of iStudio’s 23 Singapore locations till 5 May 2024, in addition to credit card miles of up to 4 mpd. This doesn’t get us back to the heyday of pre-May 2023, but it’s the best you can manage at the moment.
Don’t forget that you can use Kris+ to earn some extra Elite miles or PPS Value during this period too, which can help put you over the finish line for requalification.
