Earlier this year, oenophiles gasped in collective shock as Singapore Airlines cut the number of champagne options in Suites and First Class from three to two. Two!
As everyone knows, three is the perfect number, whether it’s musketeers, amigos, wise men or Powerpuff Girls. Two is…well, that’s just not right.
But put away the fainting couch, because some sanity is about to be restored— from 1 June 2025, passengers in the pointy end of the plane can once again choose from three exquisite champagne options.
Singapore Airlines restores third champagne option in Suites & First Class

Singapore Airlines has published its inflight menus for June 2025, featuring three champagne options for Suites and First Class passengers on all routes, compared to two options in May.
There are two “core” champagnes which will be served on all Suites and First Class routes:
- 2007 Charles Heidsieck Blanc des Millénaires
- 2011 Taittinger Comtes de Champagne Brut Rose
The third option will either be 2015 Louis Roederer Cristal Millesime Brut or Krug Grande Cuvée, depending on route.
Singapore Airlines organises its First Class catering into two groups, as shown in the table below.
Group 1 | Group 2 |

Group 1
Till 31 May 25 | From 1 Jun 25 |

Group 2

As a reminder, 2015 Louis Roederer Cristal Millesime Brut and Krug Grande Cuvée do three-month stints with each group of routes. The last rotation was on 1 March 2025, so on 1 June 2025, they switch places again.
Singapore Airlines has been stepping up its champagne game

Singapore Airlines has been making some big investments in its Suites and First Class champagnes, ever since losing Dom Perignon to Emirates in November 2022.
In June 2023, the airline launched A Celebration of Champagne, adding a third rotating option of grower champagnes alongside its existing pours of Krug Grand Cuvée and Taittinger Comtes de Champagne.

Champagne | Producer |
2018 Vilmart Grand Cellier dÓr | Vilmart & Cie |
2016 Cuvee Volupte, Blanc de Blancs Vintage | Champagne Geoffroy |
MV18 Multivintage Grand Cru | Champagne Henri Giraud |
2007 Charles Heidsieck Blanc des Millénaires | Charles Heidsieck |
NV Egly-Ouriet ‘VP’ Grand Cru Extra Brut | Champagne Egly-Ouriet |
This third option continued into 2024, featuring an impressive lineup of Bollinger La Grande Année 2015, Henri Giraud Ay Grand Cru Brut MV19, and Charles Heidsieck Blanc des Millénaires 2007.
Singapore Airlines then elevated its champagne offering even further with the introduction of the peerless Louis Roederer Cristal 2015—the first time this champagne has been served in the air.

Pol Roger Blanc de Blancs 2016 also made a brief appearance in early 2025, and Singapore Airlines has indicated that passengers can expect “up to” three labels depending on route and season.

It’s not an easy task to replace Mr Perignon, but they’re trying very hard!
What about in the lounge?
Visitors to The Private Room, the exclusive lounge for First and Suites Class passengers at Changi Airport Terminal 3, will enjoy Taittinger Comtes de Champagne.

You can, of course, request the champagnes from the First Class lounge, where both the 2016 Champagne Geoffroy Empreinte Millesime and 2007 Charles Heidsieck Blanc des Millénaires are available. I’m lukewarm about the Geoffroy, but the Charles is a sensational champagne to be serving in what’s basically a frequent flyer lounge (since the “real” SIA First Class passengers go to The Private Room).

Alternatively, you could also request the Piper Heidsieck Essentiel Extra-Brut NV from the Business Class lounge, though something tells me you’ll want to save your alcohol allowance for later!
For a full review of The Private Room experience, refer to the post below.
Conclusion
Singapore Airlines will restore three champagne options to its Suites and First Class cabins from June 2025, with the highly-rated Charles Heidsieck Blanc des Millénaires and Taittinger Comtes de Champagne Brut Rose available on all routes, as well as Cristal or Krug.
I’ve never seen anyone complain about having more choices (but this being the internet, it wouldn’t surprise me), and if you’ve got an upcoming flight during this period, be sure to do an inflight taste test!
