Earlier this month, KrisFlyer enhanced its transfer ratio to yuu Points by 13%, giving members 1.5 yuu Points for every KrisFlyer mile converted. Singapore Airlines is following this up with a further 10% transfer bonus as part of the ongoing Miles Paradise campaign for September.
Unfortunately, however, this bonus does not apply in the direction of yuu Points to KrisFlyer miles. Instead, it’s for conversions of KrisFlyer miles to yuu Points, and the resulting valuation of 0.83 cents per mile isn’t anything to get excited about.
Transfer KrisFlyer miles to yuu Points with a 10% bonus
From 8-30 September 2026, KrisFlyer members will receive a 10% bonus when they convert KrisFlyer miles to yuu Points. This boosts the conversion ratio to 1 mile = 1.65 points (versus the usual 1.5 points).

Here are the key points to note:
- A minimum transfer of 1,600 KrisFlyer miles is required
- Transfers above the minimum are in single-mile increments (so you could transfer odd blocks like 1,603 miles)
- Conversions are free of charge
- Conversions are processed instantly
- Members can convert a maximum of 80,000 KrisFlyer miles to yuu Points per calendar year

Bonus yuu Points will be credited within 14 business days after the end of the promotional period, i.e. by 20 October 2026. The T&Cs also say that “limited redemptions” are available, but don’t worry — there isn’t going to be much competition!
Is it a good deal?
yuu Points are worth 0.5 cents each (though you can sometimes get slightly more than this from so-called Super Duper rewards), which means that with the transfer bonus, one KrisFlyer mile is valued at 0.83 cents.
This falls short of the enhanced value you can get from Pelago, KrisShop or Kris+ during the Miles Paradise campaign.

If you really want to spend your miles on groceries, it’d be a better idea to buy FairPrice Group e-vouchers on the Kris+ app instead, where each mile is valued at 1 cent, and a minimum redemption of just 10 miles is required.

Converting KrisFlyer miles into Max Miles?
This probably isn’t something you want to do, but it’s an interesting thought experiment nonetheless.
Ever since June 2026, it’s been possible to convert yuu Points into Max Miles at a 3.6:1 ratio.

Therefore, you could theoretically convert KrisFlyer miles > yuu Points > Max Miles, effectively trading 1 KrisFlyer mile for 0.46 Max Miles during the promotional period.
Is there any scenario where you’d do this? It’s unlikely.
I certainly consider Max Miles to be more valuable than KrisFlyer miles (given the wider range of transfer partners), but I’m not going to take that kind of haircut just to get them. If you urgently need some additional Max Miles for a redemption, HeyMax First offers a better solution. What about yuu Points to KrisFlyer miles conversions?
While converting KrisFlyer miles into yuu Points is a bad idea, transfers in the opposite direction are certainly worth considering — sadly there’s no bonus here.
As a reminder, 3.6 yuu Points can be converted into 1 KrisFlyer mile, via the yuu app. A minimum conversion of 200 yuu Points is required.

Conversions in this direction entail an opportunity cost of 1.52 cents, which is reasonable enough (though given that yuu Points can be converted into Max Miles at the same ratio, I’d rather go for Max Miles).

If it’s a choice between 18% rebates or 10 mpd, then isn’t the implicit cost per mile 1.8 cents? Not exactly. First, it’s important to remember that even though the yuu Card is often referred to as a cashback card, yuu Points aren’t the same as unrestricted cashback— they can only be spent within the yuu ecosystem. To the extent that you don’t have anything else to buy with your points, then conversions to KrisFlyer miles at least give you an outlet you’ll (hopefully) never grow tired of. Second, if you used your points to offset spending at yuu merchants, that would also incur an opportunity cost in terms of foregone miles. For example, if you spend S$600 and use the 21,600 yuu Points as S$108 cashback, you will miss the opportunity to earn a further 1,080 miles (S$108 @ 10 mpd). Therefore, you are sacrificing 7,080 miles for S$108, not 6,000 miles, and the opportunity cost drops to 1.52 cents. |
The relatively small conversion blocks make yuu Points a great way of performing a surgical top-up to a KrisFlyer account, without the unwieldy 10,000 miles blocks that most banks require.

Conclusion
KrisFlyer members can now enjoy a 10% transfer bonus to yuu Points until 30 September 2026. This increases the value per mile to 0.83 cents, which still falls short of the 1.25 cents you can get from Pelago or KrisShop redemptions during this period, or 1.1 cents from Kris+.
Ideally, however, you should be saving your KrisFlyer miles for award flight redemptions, and the ongoing KrisFlyer Global Redemption sale might put more destinations within your reach.
