Exciting: Convert yuu Points to Max Miles from next month

From June 2026, yuu Points can be converted to Max Miles at a 3.6:1 ratio, creating new opportunities to earn Max Miles on everyday spending (and great news for DBS yuu Cardholders!).

HeyMax launched a conversion partnership with yuu Rewards Club in May 2025, but until now, transfers have only been one-way — from Max Miles to yuu Points — and at a 1:3 ratio, not particularly attractive.

But something exciting is brewing. From next month, you’ll be able to convert yuu Points into Max Miles, effectively turning every avenue for earning yuu Points into an opportunity for earning Max Miles.

Convert yuu Points to Max Miles

yuu Points Max Miles
3.6 points 1 mile

From early June (the exact date is yet to be announced), yuu Rewards Club members will be able to convert yuu Points into Max Miles at a ratio of 3.6 points = 1 mile.

That’s all that’s been officially confirmed for now, apart from the fact that there will be no annual cap on conversions. All conversions should be free of charge, and hopefully processed instantly.

This is a hugely exciting development, not least because it basically turns the DBS yuu Card into a Max Miles credit card. And not just any credit card, but one that earns 10 Max Miles per S$1 at yuu merchants and SimplyGo!

It’s technically not the “first Max Miles card” — that title goes to the Chocolate Visa Debit Card. However, given that the latter is essentially capped at earning 1,000 Max Miles per month, this provides a much-needed boost.

*You could technically earn more than this by spending beyond the cards’ respective bonus caps, but the earn rate is reduced to the point where it’s not worthwhile

That’s not to mention all the opportunities for earning yuu Points beyond card spend, such as QB House, Parisilk, Yun Nans, or even purchasing Great Eastern travel insurance, maid insurance, car insurance and home insurance (you can find all these on the yuu Rewards Club app, under Brands).

Is it worth it?

There are several ways of thinking about this.

First, given the cash value of yuu Points (0.5 cents each), converting yuu Points into Max Miles is equivalent to paying 1.8 cents per mile, or 1.53 cents once you adjust for the opportunity cost.

❓Why 1.53 cents?

Suppose you spend S$800 on your DBS yuu Card and earn 28,800 points. You now have a choice between:

  • Using those points to offset S$144 of spend at a yuu merchant
  • Converting those points to 8,000 Max Miles

Choosing option 1 means forgoing 1,440 miles on your next transaction at a yuu merchant (because your bill is reduced by S$144, at 10 mpd). Therefore, by choosing the S$144 offset, you’re giving up not 8,000 miles, but 9,440 miles (8,000 + 1,440). On this basis, the actual opportunity cost is 1.53 cents per mile.

It’s easy to get more than 1.53 cents per Max Mile, if you pick your transfers right. Conversions to Accor Live Limitless points, for example, value each Max Mile at 3 cents each (or even more if there’s a transfer bonus!).

Second, 3.6 points = 1 mile is basically the same rate that yuu offers for KrisFlyer miles conversions.

yuu Points KrisFlyer miles
3.6 points 1 mile

Is 1 Max Mile worth more than 1 KrisFlyer mile? In my opinion, yes. Max Miles are far more versatile, unlocking sweet spots and value that you can’t get with KrisFlyer.

Third, this partnership allows you to convert yuu Points into cash, instead of having to spend them at merchants (and incurring the opportunity cost mentioned in point #1).

How this works is that you convert yuu Points to Max Miles, then cash them out via FlyAnywhere at 1.8 cents each. To use FlyAnywhere, you just need a flight ticket booked within the past 30 days, whether with cash or miles. The ticket doesn’t even need to be in your name — you can use one forwarded by a friend or family member to support your claim.

What can you do with Max Miles?

Max Miles can be transferred to the following airline and hotel partners.

✅ HeyMax Direct Transfer Partners
✈️ Airlines
  • AirAsia Rewards (1:1.2 ratio)
  • Air Arabia Rewards
  • Air Astana Nomad Club
  • Air France-KLM Flying Blue
  • Air India Maharaja Club
  • Cathay Pacific Asia Miles
  • Ethiopian ShebaMiles
  • EVA Air Infinity MileageLands Coming Soon
  • GarudaMiles
  • PAL Mabuhay Miles Coming Soon
  • Qatar Privilege Club

  • Xiamen Egret Miles
🏨 Hotels
  • Accor Live Limitless
  • IHG One Rewards
  • Luxury Escapes
  • Radisson Rewards Coming Soon
  • Shangri-La Circle
  • Wyndham Rewards

Most conversions are available at a 1:1 ratio, and are processed instantly (with the exception of Asia Miles, which takes three business days).

In addition to these, there are 17 more airline and hotel partners under the Cash For Miles programme, where HeyMax issues customers a prepaid debit card to purchase the miles themselves on the airline or hotel’s official portal. Unfortunately, Cash For Miles will be discontinued by the time yuu Points to Max Miles conversions go live.

Conclusion

It’s taken a while to happen, but from early next month, yuu Points can finally be converted to Max Miles. The conversion ratio is the same as the one used for KrisFlyer, and in my opinion, 1 Max Mile is much more valuable than 1 KrisFlyer mile.

This will also create opportunities to earn 10 Max Miles per S$1 on groceries, food delivery, EV charging, pharmacies, bus/MRT rides, ridehailing and more via the DBS yuu Card, and if you’re holding on to a stash of yuu Points, you might want to hold off burning any more of them for now!
